Well done England..

Good RU results all round today.
Just wish I could have enjoyed them more, but still fuming about the 43rd. minute

Totally unexpected win, bookies were offering 15 start to Ireland. England stuck to their guns, never gave up.
Earls was World class. Well done to a press written off team.

saw the second half in the pub. what baffles me is that with barely two minutes left both teams needlessly gave possession away by choosing to kick the ball. Especially Ireland in the last minute who when in possession of the ball in the middle of the pitch and even though they were close to their own goal line chose to kick the ball out of play and give possession back to us. Surely it made more sense for them to just keep taking the ball into the maul for about 30 seconds and when the clock ticked to 80 just then boot it out. But certainly not before! Am I missing something here?

Brilliant, less kicking, more passing, full of aggression.
It’s been a constant annoyance for me these last few years.
They can clearly compete with the best given half a chance.
Yesterday proved what we can do when we don’t kick, kick, kick.
They need to use this as the template for future matches, but I doubt it.

Ireland's only tries came from a Kiwi. In our defeat to Scotland all the Scots tries were from a South African. Some serious issues with rugby.
Still.. a great result that.
You've got a bunch of foreigners playing for you!

I said serious problems with rugby. Never said England didn't have foreign players. Every team has them which is why I said serious problems with Rugby. Seems the more foreign players teams get, the better they are. The rules should have been/be much stricter re playing for a country.

But you also only mentioned Irish and Scots try scorers being foreign. You can see why I made the assumption I did surely?
Agreed that rugby needs to tighten up mind. I hate the residency rule.

We were listening to the radio on the way home and none of the commentators could understand why you'd try a through kick that late on. We got away with it, but the decision making needs to be better.

I understand why Murray did it, if they gave a pen away competing in the ruck in the last 60 seconds people would be saying why didn't they play the last minute out in the opposition half.

I would much rather not have the ball in the opposition half, than have the ball just outside of our 22 trying to waste 1 or 2 minutes.
