What is the worst our fans have ever been treated?

I don't mean Oyston related, I mean away games.

Anyone remember Tranmere away in a league cup game? They rammed us literally like Hillsborough and that's no exaggeration, we were crushed in.
They were expecting 2000 Blackpool fans, but we had an estimated 3000 and they just kept shoving more and more of us in the pen behind the goal.
The toilet was a portacabin and it was rocking because it wasn't level with 2 inch of urine. It was also raining and for me, this was the worst treatment on our fans.

Bolton away in the Coughlin penalty cup game, we again were rammed in the supermarket away end with howling wind and torrential rain. with a large section to our left was left empty for segregation.
After the match, they kept us locked in for 10 or 15 minutes and turned off the floodlights, so it was also pitch black.

South Yorkshire police were brutal in the 80's especially at Doncaster where I remember one game, they must've nicked 30 odd of our fans for virtually nothing.

Carlisle police were always sh!thouses setting up random car stops just off the motorway. We were one of the many cars of Blackpool fans stopped for a random spiteful check. My car was fine, but we were made to report to the police station with MOT, insurance docs etc... There was always police in Cumbria on every bridge looking for Blackpool fans speeding.

Many many more stories.

Barnet away (no not that one). I think we lost 3-0, probably under Ayre.
The police, quite despicably, took it upon themselves to aggressively arrest numerous Pool fans for nothing more than good natured chanting.
A thoroughly depressing day all round.

To be fair to OO, I think he arranged to pay the court fees and travel arrangements to and from London for those fans, who were subsequently acquitted (I think).

The Bolton away game always sticks in my mind. It was awful weather, and we were all stood there staring at the sky looking for any signs of Coughlins penalty. I do recall that as a result of holding us back that the snack bar was raided and food was being thrown around.

You have to remember back in the 80s Blackpool fans had a massive reputation (even got mentioned for it on the BBC 6 O' Clock national news. Police adopted a Danny Blancflower approach- equalise before the other team scores.

Beat me to it.
I lifted a youn
g Pool fan in tears on to the side of the pitch much to plods dismay. At half time they came and lifted me as I went to the bogs, with a copper claiming I had kicked him.

Donny away in the 3-3. Those 'bouncers' nothing but utter c🥜s.

Bury in the 80's, with us cramped in after the game. The wall eventually collapsed.

I've got a clipping from that time, I'll see if I can dig it out.

I tried to introduce a friend to football once and took him to his first game away at Tranmere. Having never been to a football ground before, he innocently took a can of coke in the ground and was arrested and detained by the police for the rest of the match. Needless to say, he has never been to another football match again in his life.

I was at the Bury match, the exit was about the size of an average house door, it led to a tiny walkaway where a crush developed. I must admit though our fans were a tad naughty that day.

It's the old, treat em like animals and they'll behave like one.

Bury with the wall the crush was scary, but we were naughty as, outside and inside the ground that day, in general we were at it every match especially away.

Notts County 1985.
Police treated us like the striking Miners some months beforehand.
It was just before Christmas and a couple fans tried to share a joke with Police and treated awfully with physical force.
Herded into an open away end at 1-30 pm with promises of refreshments and shelter. They lied and had to suffer the freezing cold.
We won which was a consolation. Think Hesford was in goal for County.

Having dealt with all that went on a Bury we got back to Piccadily to walk into a full on war between Man U and the ICF. Now that was fun.

Bury was horrible when the wall went down. Doncaster I got hit round the back of the head with a baton by a copper on a horse.

Tranmere one boxing day was wild. They sent the coaches round the ground to give the home fans time to get into position with bricks. There were no windows left on our coach on the journey home.

Rochdale was bad one year, we'd trashed their supporters club the year before, and they were out for revenge - it ended up in a mass brawl in the bus station. About six of us were cornered by about twenty Rochdale fans, then all of a sudden what seemed like hundreds of Pool fans came charging round the corner and saved us.

Barnet 3 nil. I was one of the unlucky ones who had the trauma of the scum met trying to ruin my life with an assault on a copper charge.

Bastards.

Spent nearly all the first half in the back of a black mariah for having the audacity to have long hair. Two coppers said as much whilst lifting me at the turnstiles. Think every man & his dog turned out that day don't think Bury knew what hit them.
