Lets give him some time. We aren't pissing about at the back and putting ourselves under pressure. The players in the last two games are clearly united. There isn't the questions being asked about 'lack of leaders' - there might be questions asked about lack of ability to break a team down, but the team, whilst playing an agricultural style, didn't look 'lost' and he's definitely stiffened the defensive unit.
WE look like a team. Maybe not a very good one, but a team. The only really horrible performance was Boro and then, we made chances. The other two were awful games against nasty teams who break up play and rile you up. Basically, it was like fighting ourselves (i.e. what Mick is trying to make us) - Soton in the cup we were actually quite good.
I don't care if we play hoof ball or tikitaka as long as everyone is all in and he works out who the best players are for the system.
I hate football snobbishness about certain styles and I hate the instant culture that basically reduces football management to 'picking the team' and nothing else. It takes a bit of time. Yes, time is running out, but there we go.
It's like the Poveda debate. There's every chance that as Bowler struggled today in the main, they'd just have tripped him every time he got the ball. Would he have battled like Carey did? I'm not sure. It's just possible (I know I'm deliberately taking an annoyingly optimistic slant) that he's decided to keep Poveda for a different sort of game. Yeah, we ran through Forest, but they let us play. No way would Rovrum let us do what we did against Forest reserves or even Soton reserves. Totally different kettle of fish.
