Cold Chisel are a good band but Jimmy Barnes voice? Absolutely woeful!Cold Chisel was the one I got into after living a year in Oz in the mid 1990's.
I beg my possumWhich is why I said Australasian. I'm a proud Kiwi too.
Aye forgot about them - crikey they must be nearly as old as the original group. Must have made lots of money.......Bjorn Again, obviously.
Shihad , Feelers, Dragon, Exponents... just 4 you bobWhich is why I said Australasian. I'm a proud Kiwi too.
Most of the band is BritishThere's several good ones, but none of them will ever top AC/DC
Aussies will claim ownership of anyone who remotely becomes famous - even the Bee Gees! Most of the band is British
…Powderfinger…Following on from 'fave American' band just who do you rate from Down Under?
For me, without question, it's the Finn brothers time as Split Enz. Innovative, controversial, weird, theatrical, they had it all.
Being based Down Under of course I probably know every track but they had a limited success in the UK (barring 'I got you' of course) but if you can have a listen to tracks like Dirty Creatures or One Step Ahead. They were quoted on more than one occasion as the Lennon and McCartney of Australasia.
