Which is your favourite Australasian band?

Another for AC/DC but I’m all over DMA,s since seeing them sing Delete live on Soccer AM a few years ago - their are Influenced by Oasis and very ballady - check them out their amazing - the lead singer Tommy has an amazing voice 💥
 
Neil Finn is one of the best songwriters in the business.
Split Enz was more about Tim Finn but Neil is the essence of Crowded House imo.
Woodface is a great album but Together Alone is comfortably one of my top 20 all time favourites.
Good to see them with a new album Dreamers Are Waiting after a 10 year gap.

For me, without question, it's the Finn brothers time as Split Enz. Innovative, controversial, weird, theatrical, they had it all.
Being based Down Under of course I probably know every track but they had a limited success in the UK (barring 'I got you' of course) but if you can have a listen to tracks like Dirty Creatures or One Step Ahead. They were quoted on more than one occasion as the Lennon and McCartney of Australasia.

TE, yes agreed. I think that too, they just have this general view they're Oz, and three still are of course, albeit going back in time i think both the Young brothers and Scott were born in Scotland?

I'm happy to go along with it if they are!
 
AC/DC but I agree about the DMAs. First saw them as a support band for Gaslight Anthem and then a couple of times since.
