Will Simon Sadler be regretting taking over?

Big commitment, big spend, a lot at stake and it’s not going well. He had no need to get involved, he has and that’s his choice….is it one he is Currently regretting?

Nah. He just needs to bring in a new manager. It happens. In Sadler's case a lot. He'll get it right eventually. Giving Dobbie the nod would cost him very little.
He's got the team in place, but the manager choice was done before we got some of them and backed up by the supercomputer.

If it does to come to he can presumably just let them get on with it.

He just needs to rethink his approach to running the club, as I pointed out in another thread. He brought in a head coach (twice), with a history of improving young players, with a view to making a profit and sustaining the club financially. That clearly isn't working due to the "head coach" being a poor manager! He needs to look for a good manager, first and foremost, who can improve young players or one that can't but then employ a backroom team that can develop the players.

His only repeated mistake is his management appointments. Backward thinking nonsense the last 3 have been.

I back Sadler and always will for what he has done for the club.

But, he needs to grow a pair when assigning a manager. Think outside the box and stop being frozen in time with has been’s and never were’s.

Grayson coming back for a third time lucky attempt maybe?

Agreed. Name one young player this clown has developed.

Dishing out 4yr deals to inept managers is becoming a problem. He's as much to blame as anyone and I'm already waiting for his next condescending statement. If you want success, you need to realise that Critchley isn't the man. You've made another poor appointment and it's going to cost you to get rid of the clown. Maybe it's time to put someone in charge of appointments that has a better understanding of football, our club and supporters because we've been let down badly by all the last 2 seasons.

So the owner is now an issue? Really? God we’ve some appalling support.
Of course he's part of the problem

Last season was completely on Sadler, poor managerial appointments and trying to spend as little as possible in the transfer windows

The whole thing was a cluster fuck of incompetence last season and this season in a league lower is looking like going the same way

No planning and very little strategy from top to bottom

How do you know that your last sentence is actually true.

You've just made it up. Blurted out something that suits your agenda.

Do you actually think a multi millionaire has got his money by not planning, not having strategies in place?
Do you think he goes down the local and gets ideas from there? Because obviously all his enormous wealth came from listening to the likes of the people on AVFTT, that's why they're all running super successful businesses and are fabulously wealthy....like you....aren't.

No I haven't it's there for all to see

What was the planning or strategy in getting rid of Appleton when he just signed 4 players that he wanted only to be replaced by a bloke in McCarthy who obviously wouldn't play football in a way to suit what we had

You must be Stevie ** Wonder to not see that the McCarthy appointment was lazy with absolutely no planning or strategy

We then re appoint a bloke who walked out on us and sell our best player, what's the thought process in signing Dembele when we don't play with wide forwards or Rhodes when he can only play in a front two

352 is about the only system we can play to suit our 2 best loan players, it doesn't suit everyone though

What's the strategy in signing Oakley Booth? He has a heart even smaller than CJs

What planning was in place with Big Marv or Kenneth Dougal given it appears they are both running down their contracts and are now out of the team?

What's in place if Rhodes goes back?

So yeah very little planning or strategy from the top

My answer to all your points is, I don't know, I wasn't at the meeting.

NEITHER WERE YOU.

You just make things up.

He didn't make his money and become successful by running a football club though it was another industry.
Football is littered with successful businessmen making a mess of it.

I’ve met Dobbie a few times recently and I can’t say whether he’d be a good replacement but I can say he’s a lovely and friendly man to people he doesn’t know and very down to earth
Before NC appointment I saw, by chance, Dobbie training the youth at the new pitches by Common Edge. He seemed very organised and focused and he definitively had the lad's respect. He passively joined in the session and still has a great first touch and football brain.
