Hi just a quicky to see if anyone has a spare ticket for Friday 25th November for the Winter Gardens World Cup extravaganza.
My daughters boyfriend seems to have missed the boat and obviously wants to join in!!

No sorry. We’re going winter gardens on the 29th and viva on the 25th
£2 each at viva and guaranteed a seat

Viva sounds good. Trouble is my daughter, all her pals and their boyfriends are going and I think her boyfriend had a change in his work pattern or something, so he's free now but apparently it's all sold out.

Yeah the 25th sold out weeks ago as we tried for the 25th initially and couldnt get them so that’s how we ended up booking viva for the 25th

Unfortunately, attendees will not be allowed to drink, wives and girlfriends will not be allowed to drive there and gay people will not be admitted.
Other than that...have a nice day!

Irrelevant to the OP's question, but I'd completely forgot about there being a fan zone at the Winter Gardens.

'Kin ell, imagine if England get the Saturday 10th, 7pm quarter final slot (if we make it that far):
Blackpool vs Birmingham 3pm
England vs Whoever 7pm

That Saturday would be chaos. Good money for the town though.

Walkabout is normally another popular haunt for the England matches

Amazed considering there'll be no one at the club that they haven't done some special England days/nights in the lounge?

You are so badly informed….

You can drink in Qatar
Your wives and girlfriends can drive
You will be admitted if you are gay

…but don’t let the facts get in the way of your arguments.

Just stick to buying your Chinese stuff 👍

Only £11.60 a pint in the Fanzone not the Blackpool one.😂

I know that these things are allowed for the World Cup. That's what sports washing is all about.

Msny Qatari women are controlled by their families and spouses in the name of culture and religion. It is legal in Qatar to control the whereabouts of a grown woman as well as her curfew time. Families of women usually threaten women with physical abuse if the cultural standards are not followed. In Qatar, domestic abuse is not criminalised by the law.

As per the Ministry of Interior, an unmarried woman under the age of 25 needs an electronic permission from her guardian (exit permit) in order to leave the country. Men can leave the country without permission at the age of 18 years old.

Ah yes, those good old female rights in Qatar. Makes you right proud.

Checked and if England top their group they're om the route for the Saturday slot for the quarter final. If we finish 2nd it's the Friday 3pm slot so no chance of clashing with the Birmingham game.

Would make a great day of football with Pool at 3pm and England at 7pm. If we do end up getting that far we'll most likely be playing France (although anything can happen before then!)
