Who's going to win it?

Where will England finish?

Will you be watching?

For me, it's the USA to beat, but England have a great chance and will push them close.

Looking forward to it.

I’m looking forward to it, too.
We’re missing 3 usual starters, but USA missing 4 or 5.
Most teams will be worried about us.

Ye we do have a weakened squad but as Johnno said teams will be worried about us and we do have that fighting spirit.

Looking forward to it also 👍

Bloody hell for a minute I thought I'd just woke up after Cryogenic hibernation, then I realised it was the women's one. 😂 😂 😂

Looking forward to it. I am sure a lot of it will be great to watch. I worry that there will be too many very one sided games 10-0 type one sided, which is a problem to me in a spectator sport.
I will give it a good go though and will be very happy to be proved wrong.
I think the later stages when it should even up more will be really good.

Will I be watching have you seen the kick off times I'll be either in bed or at work!

I might watch from the quarters onwards if we get there which i fully expect us to. The early rounds i dont really think will be great viewing at all. If the ko times are rubbish though as suggested above then i probably just wont bother.
I reckon it will be between England and the US though

Started watching at Half time. Decent goal that for NZ, but the co-commentator (sounds like Rachel Brown?) going well OTT about it - already saying it could be the best goal of the tournament (!)

Always amazes me the people who click on these threads to make a point of how they're not going to be watching - would you click on a thread about golf and bang on about how much you hate that? If you're not interested, don't click the thread and move on with your life

You never see me on a golf thread 😀

If England win it then it will be half celebration and half bashing the England's mens team for always falling short.
Ridiculous goalkeeping errors will be ignored in the TV analysis.
There will probably be not one player sent off in the whole tournament .
Those are the things that annoy me but I'll watch it and hope it's a good tournament.

It is Rachel Finnis Brown and she certainly likes the sound of her own voice...

Great for the hosts to win the opening match, first ever win for New Zealand at a World Cup finals. Shows how the smaller countries are now catching up with the big nations and closing the gap to make it a higher overall standard.

Think England have top many injuries to win it. Unfortunately I think the Yanks will win it again, Australia maybe the dark horse although Sam Kerr isn't starting for them today which is a huge problem for them.

Had it on in the background whilst working from home.

The standard is truly shocking.
They are two poor teams, though - Norway living off past glories at the moment.
There are quite a few poor teams in this round, there’ll be some real drubbings, the top teams play some good stuff though.

I'll watch the odd game, as said above though the commentary is appalling, they must be under orders to never mention anything negative, the keepers are still crap as well, just shoot on sight.

I wont be watching it personally ....... but I'm all for it.

The world is changing and quite a lot of that change is for the better.

Sometimes society should acknowledge how far we've come and how sexism, racism and misogyny is not (generally) tolerated any more.

The men played the finals in 1982 and 2010. Unbeaten strangely in 2010. Drew all 3 group games and knocked out. Wonder if they were the only unbeaten team ? They drew with Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay.
Scotland were unbeaten in 1974, they beat Zaire and drew with Brazil and Yugoslavia

Not interested generally the standard is terrible didn't the Yanks get beaten by a boys u-15 side ?
However if England make the final I will want them to win.

I was at Eden park last night for an amazing night for NZ football. The highest crowd ever over 42,137 for any game in NZ. First ever win at a world cup finals male of female. The emotions at the end were fantastic after what had started as such a shocking day for the country with a gunman killing 2 construction workers in the CBD. The game was a perfect start to the tournament and down to Welly for Spain v Costa Rica today too. Love football.

I was impressed with NZ. Norway is one of the top teams there and the NZ goal was excellent. I thought the Aussies were a little lucky against Ireland to be honest and a draw would have been a fair result.

None of the four sides today were better than England, but I'm not sure we can replace our two best players Beth Mead and Leah Williamson.

I'll be watching. Thoroughly enjoyed the women's ashes too. I think we're up against it but come on you Lionesses.

It's strange reading that you were there last night when I watched it this morning in the UK!
