Would you be disappointed if we got promoted and we weren't there?

How would you feel if this season we got an automatic promotion (we'll stay optimistic) and we weren't there on the day that we won it? How would you feel? Delighted we'd be starting next season in the Championship or gutted that we'd missed out on the experience?

Ultimately it'd be amazing, it would still feel great.

However, after years of boycotting which included a play-off final at Wembley - to then miss a promotion, or even worse ANOTHER Wembley trip it would definitely hurt. I believe the term bittersweet would sum it up perfectly.

Absolutely delighted.

The combination of TV money, SS investment and this board of directors would mean BFC would become a proper Championship club.

I would be far more delighted than gutted.
It's unlikely we'll be back so it is what it is. We're enjoying watching on I follow. It's not the same as being there of course but it's better than missing the games.

like a lot of you, this will prob be first season in 48 that I won't have seen a single game, including when I lived in US and Australia !

I'd be gutted. The last automatic promotion was 1984ish and its the one thing I want to see. Not popular but I do find some play off successes a bit false as you can finish closer to 14th than top and still get promoted.

To get automatic usually means that you've won loads of games and generally been good to watch, basically you can yourself the best, and not to be there is shite.

My ideal situation, and realistic, would be to finish 8th this season, then have a packed Bloomfield Road next season to romp to automatic. It all feels a bit false to me at the moment - match day is spending hours with family and friends, having a crack, bit of a sing song and the atmosphere. I've not felt elated or gutted once this season.

Maybe it because I'm not of the many fans with a second team who has a second team so don't get the armchair supporter thing. Whereas our liverpool/United fans are used to the current experience.

Saying all that I wouldn't complain if it did happen and we got promoted this season.

Delighted, and I would be delighted for Simon Sadler too as promotion is our number one aim in the short term!! 👍🏻

If it did happen I would be gutted I wouldn’t be there to witness it, but who cares in the greater scheme of things as promotion would just be the first step! 😀👍🏻

Be better than not getting promoted and not being there

I've never watched as many matches as I don't go to many away ones plus we ourselves get away in the van normally, it's given me something to look forward to in these shitty times. I won't be disappointed at all. We can enthuse about a Championship return next season. Then I'll be somewhat disappointed if we still can't go.

How did the scousers feel last season?
Never won the premier league and when they finally did no supporters there to see them lift the trophy.

Personally, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if we weren't there.
We can then congregate at Bloomfield Rd for our first game in the championship.

I also think crowds in general will increase when this bloody virus is finally eliminated and we are all allowed back.

Gutted I won't be there personally, but surely seeing the team promoted via I follow/ Lee Charles TV will do in these troubled times.

I would be delighted. I'd be happy for SS that all his efforts over the last two years have seen results, and the strategy he's put in place will have been vindicated. But most of all, it's damn difficult to get out of this league as Sunderland, Ipswich and Portsmouth are finding out. You have to take the opportunities when they present themselves and we can't wait to go up when we're back in the ground, because we might not - for years. There are no guarantees and I'd rather be watching Championship football when we return than league 1 football.
Not being there to see it in person is totally secondary to me. If we did manage to go up, I suspect we may not see lower league football again for a long time under Sadler.

I'd be sorry not to actually be at the ground, however we will still see it on 'ifollow'.
Small consolation I know.
Can you just hear the roar in 7/8,000 houses in Blackpool all at the same time? 😀
The non football following neighbours will think we're crackers.🤣😂🙃

If we were ever to win the Premier League there's nobody I'd want more as runners up than Preston. I believe that a proper derby requires your nemesis to be up there with you.

Delighted, the club needs championship football if we wish to grow, if we need to give going to the ground a miss for a while longer, no problem- not ideal but at least we have I Follow

Having never seen us promoted automatically I'd be gutted - wouldn't it be marvellous though if they announced stadiums could be full again on May 8th and we just needed to beat Bristol Rovers to go up automatically!!

I’d be disappointed at not being there , but I will have watched almost every game they’ve played, however the fact that we would be playing in the championship would soften the blow so I would be delighted!
