First, is there anyone brave enough to admit they have/had Owen or Karls autograph!
I remember seeing the queues around Owen eager for his autograph.

I have many Pool autographs from 53 including Matthews, Morty and Perry. Then the 60’s collection from the days of Armfield and Ball etc.
A signed Football from 10/11 and shirt from 12/13.
The complete 66 WC squad framed and players like Best from that era.

On the pop side I have a set of genuine Beatles autographs.

The only historical is Lloyd George handed down from my Grandfather.

Anyone with any valued or interesting autographs?

I've got a signed Stanley Matthews football boots card which is the pride of my very limited collection. I've also got a flag from the LDV Vans trophy sighed by Scott Taylor and Jonny Murphy. Other than that it's all boxing autographs, Anthony Joshua, Chris Eubank and Anthony Crolla.

Stupidly I sold a 1st edition Harry Potter book fully signed by the main cast and JKR…and also a signed Nelson Mandela book by the great man.

Have virtually the complete cast of Howard’s Way and main extras and other memorabilia for my sins, also complete ‘53 squad.

The only autograph I’ve still got is Walter Matthau. He signed the 10 of spades from my deck of cards at Gatwick airport in the mid 80s.

I've got a Blackpool football that was autographed at the open day when we won the Lancashire Senior Cup against Man U back in 93. It was signed by Stanley Matthews and Owen Oyston. It took some grafting and plenty of soap to get rid of cat weasel I can tell you.

Got a match ball from the Yeovil play off final signed by all/most the squad, cannot claim its "The" Match Ball as there were several used that day but a ball boy promised my lad he could have one during the match and duly obliged at full time. Got it signed at one of those met the players things they used to do for the Junior Seasiders.

Have loads from the 70’s waiting outside bloomers with a small group including Neil, Steve, Keen ? Can’t remember the other lad . My parents mate Phil and myself unless big club in town. Bobby Moore , Brian Clough, Ray Wilkins Elton John the complete Lanarossi team after we won 10-0 spelling not strong point.

Had an expansive signed memorabilia collection once over but then my son decided he was going to be a doctor and the lot went to fund his education and training. He’s recently become a GP so it was worth the loss of some great pieces.

I won 4 tickets to The Moonlight signing at the natural History Museum in London in 2007 off the Harry Potter website
JK Rowling read the 1st Chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and she signed books with a unique numbered hologram.

We sold 3 of the copies within days to collectors in the USA & Ireland for just over £9k combined
My daughter held on to hers with the tickets and letters from Bloomsbury as well as all the free gifts....A similar book sold for £7,500 in 2022

I had a Henry Moore and a Ben Nicholson sketch about 20 years ago, both were signed and dated.....sold them on eBay for peanuts..

Office wall at home has a Stanley Matthews signed art print of the 53 Final; a framed 53 programme; and a signed pic of Charlie Adam wheeling away after scoring the playoff final free kick.

I posted in the old pictures of Blackpool thread ages ago that I've an invite to a seminar from the very early 80's that I got signed by 70%ish of the 53 Cup winning team ( including Sir Stan and the only player to score a hattrick in a cup final)
Plus Glyn James, Tony Green and others that I've forgotten

Going for a post-work early-evening pint in a small pub in Marylebone, early ‘90’s I bumped into George Best sitting quietly at a table on his own.

Asked him for an autograph as discreetly as I could - which he was happy to do. We then had a chat for 10 mins or so & he shared his bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne with me.

A lovely, friendly & generous chap - somewhere he was able to go without being bothered by people too much (Admittedly, apart from me, I guess!)

Shortly afterwards, he was joined by his Dad, with his agent at the time, Bill McMurdo (?) to whom he introduced me as though they should know who the f*ck I was.

At this point I took my cue to leave, but a memory I’ll always treasure.

Do have framed signed photos of
Klitchko, schevschenko, guillit, Rory Mcilroy, Justin rose, John Rahm, henrk stenson, tommy fleetwood, shame Warne and Kevin pietersen all obtained personally

Also lots of signed albums elton john, duran duran, simple minds, Keane, blossoms, goldfrapp, lathums etc

I have a collection of 739 different Blackpool players, coaches, managers etc going way back. All on nice 6x4 cards with the blackpool emblem in one corner. Dark sharpie type pen used on all. All very neat.

Mainly thanks to my brother who went above and beyond to obtain the majority of these.

My lad (now in his 30's) got most of the Prem squad who got promoted to sign his chest and back and vowed to turn them all in to tattoos .. some of them did last a month or so until he'd showered them off and now with a wife and two kids is probably pleased he didn't go through with his threat!
