New What we all watching / recommendations thread?

Just finished hijack.

Other than there being a fuel problem for some unexplained reason a really good series.

For a really good laugh, highly recommend Rob and Romesh( Verses). It's Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan who basically take up challenges to learn something new and which they have no experience at. Things like Golf, Ice skating, K Pop dancing, circus act etc. Think it's into their third series now. Many laugh out loud moments, I think it's the chemistry and banter between the two of them that makes the show. They clearly have a great friendship and both are quick witted and funny individuals.

Oh and "Hijack". On the Apple TV. Idris Elba. Set on a passenger jet but lots of the story unfolds on the ground in different locations.

Enjoyed Colin From Accounts 👍
Only discovered No Activity last night tbf but first two episodes are very good. Cop show. Looking forward to bingeing it. The main couple from CFA are in it and the creepy stepfather is the main guy's cop partner.

The bit in the Korean bathhouse, the missus almost literally pi**ed herself. 🤣

Will check it out this weekend 👍

Start with series 1 of the Bear because there are threads running through the whole series that need to be explained or they don't make sense.
Brother, Mother & Cousin's story....well worth following it because most episodes are 30 - 40 mins and you can binge watch in a day.

Jamie Lee Curtis in the second series is just astonishing, has to get an award surely.

What a great night of films on the BBC.

Children of Men on BBC3 now and then Spike Island on BBC4 at 11.15.

Absolute bangers.

Just finished Special Ops: Lioness, really enjoyed it but a bit underwhelmed with the last 5 minutes.

Really enjoying One Piece on Netflix, Completely bonkers but some massive budget and an hour of total enjoyment.

Last night I (re)watched the first episode of 'I, Claudius' on BBC iPlayer. It's also being shown on BBC4 but too late at night for me.

As it was first broadcast nearly 50 years ago, it's a bit dated by being entirely studio-based, but the storytelling and acting is amazing. Some of the actors, sadly, are no longer with us.

These days disgraced politicians retire to write their memoirs, in times past the penalty for political failure was pretty final !

WagWan Bruv......Dushane will be back down da lanes making some pees for the fam in the final series of Top Boy in a few weeks.
I swear down that I cant wait for another 10 episodes of da yoof making paper off the food......

One of the best series on Netflix

Enjoyed the first episode of One Piece, just hoping that it doesn’t go on for as long as the Anime version - 1074 episodes!!

Bit late to it but,
Your Honor
is great, with Breaking Bad actor.
Any good Sci- Fi out there..liked 'Silo'.

Alone. There’s loads of series from the US and Aus. 12 people dumped apart in wilderness and whoever survives the longest wins 100K. I’d love to do it n think I’d do well. Just watched an episode where a guy had killed a moose but then had predators visit. He ended up guarding it and fighting off a wolverine! It’s right up my street. Not the wolverine. 😂
