Manager Shortlist

Why do people think that the return of Ollie and Thommo would make things magically return to where they were before they left. Everything has changed since then. A time and a place….
Time has moved on yes. Holloway is nowhere near Championship level now. Time for those stuck in 2010 to think with heads and not hearts.

Would have thought you could do better now you're in the Championship
It would be a no from me, however a couple of years ago he’d have been number 1 choice for me.

I think it is going to be someone out of work and cheap, as it looks like we haven’t a penny to spend - which is why I think Critch has gone. Putting two and two together here however

why are you bigging this guy up 20s. Was crap at Tranmere and cemented Burnleys relegatio, useless and no charisma either.
not bigging him up at all. Question was managers shortlist and I think he'll be a candidate, that's all.

She is one of the most qualified and respected coaches in World Football. Check out her CV of trophies starting in the Youth game and latterly as one of the most successful coaches in the Womens game.

Watch this space.
No woman would get the respect from pro footballers

We’ve been left with Critchleys staff that no doubt we’ll have to pay to get off the books when the new guy comes in. I really hope that we played hardball and factored all that in when we agreed compensation with Villa.

Mentioned it in another thread but would Gareth Ainsworth not be worth a punt? Always seemed like a decent guy and a good manager and surely Wycombe aren't paying him money we can't match/better, also he is a northern lad.
I think Ainsworth is a good shout, Dyche won’t come he is to expensive and you imagine would want a Premier League job. I doubt Evo would come now he is to invested in Bolton and I think they will be a Championship club in a couple of years.

Surely it has to be...

Great shout Young TT...

Can you remember the last time a Championship manager left a club to become an assistant manager?

It's ** embarrassing.

In isolation, I'd imagine that it is unlikely that a manager of a Championship club would leave to become an assistant elsewhere.

Looking at this move specifically, we have a manager of a smaller Championship club moving to work with a very respected figure in the game, a man that he has previously worked under, work which probably got him his opportunity with us.

That's before we even compare his remuneration as Blackpool manager and Villa assistant, I couldn't tell you what he earned at Blackpool or what he will earn at Villa but I'd be struggling to believe that he's taking a pay cut.

I have no problem with Critchley, I didn't think he was good as some on here suggested when we were winning and I certainly didn't think he was a bad as some suggested after a few bad results, far better personnel have left us in the past and plenty more will do so in the future.
