Two Nobbers turning up to spread this ‘rumour’. School holidays started?Sean Maguire is having a medical on Wednesday.
Has a lot of talent and Preston manager has said he’s the best striker he’s ever managed (better than Archer) in an interview recently.
But he has had a bust up with club captain Browne.
Clever piece of business, hasn’t had the chance there but came through the West Ham youth academy and will no doubt score the winner against them.

No, but seems plausible.Rumour Maguire to make the m55 switch anyone heard ?
The Aussie who used to play for Hibs ? That would be awesome if it came off.Martin Boyle, possible replacement for Bowler
The guy who went to Saudi for £3mn with a reported £1.5mn a year contract in January? I’m going to admit to some scepticism about this one …Martin Boyle, possible replacement for Bowler
Would cost a decent fee seeing as they paid £1 million plus and he’ll be on huge wages in Saudi. Can’t see it happening as it just doesn’t fit in with the clubs ethos.Martin Boyle, possible replacement for Bowler

The Saudi team have been relegated to the Saudi second tier, looking to off load high earners and won’t do his international chances any good playing in an almost semi pro league especially with World Cup round the corner. The guy who went to Saudi for £3mn with a reported £1.5mn a year contract in January? He'd be a good signing but Hibbs have a buy back clause on him so they may want him back as they were toilet after he left. The Saudi team have been relegated to the Saudi second tier, looking to off load high earners and won’t do his international chances any good playing in an almost semi pro league especially with World Cup round the corner.
Even though he plays for Australia Boyle is as Scottish as haggis neeps & tatties! Looking for a return to UK. Watch the developments!
You wish. You employ Ched Evans though. Laughable.Rumour Maguire to make the m55 switch anyone heard ?

Ive said nothing on this thread but honestly, I'm getting frustrated at the lack of ANY action in the transfer market.
Absolute class is chedwynYou wish. You employ Ched Evans though. Laughable.
I thought you were not attending after Appleton was appointed, so not sure why any transfers affect youIve said nothing on this thread but honestly, I'm getting frustrated at the lack of ANY action in the transfer market.
Couple of bloody marvellous wouldnt go amiss thoughUnless we're going to buy somebody absolutely bloody marvellous, I'm really ok if we get nobody in.
I think we have great players in every position, and some to spare.
What we have needed is a manager who can really use the potential of the players we have, such as Carey or Virtue, to play positive football. Rather than one who, having discovered he can't just replicate a Liverpool set up, then retreats into safe-play mode to just about scrape through games, as we did many times.
I know that squads can always, always, be improved, but having seen squads we've begun seasons with in the past, this lot's as good as any.
And I will welcome any new player who does come in because I genuinely think Appleton, with greater experience and insight than he had before, has a clear and ambitious understanding of his role at Blackpool.

I was thinking a while back that there was probably a decent case for not much change this pre-season. Seems like a long time since we were in that position?
That relies on not many leaving though, which so far seems to be the case. You can see now how Bowler might still be here
at least until the window closes.
I spent a few minutes this afternoon looking at the current squad, here's where we are:

At the moment, if the club signs a RB, then the 25-man squad is full.
Realistically, I think Tharme and Virtue need to go out on loan to free up some space in the squad, Bowler is presumably going, so a replacement is needed, beyond that any more signings are going to need other players moved on, so I can't see much more than 4 signings in this window.
Nah let's not pretend that we don't need to sign anyone just because we don't seem to be very active at the moment. Crying out for a CM, will definitely need a Bowler replacement and also definitely need a new RB. That's 3 already and ideally I'd like more
That is why some of our signings will have to be underage loans or otherwise, who do not count towards the 25.I spent a few minutes this afternoon looking at the current squad, here's where we are:

All loanees count towards the 25. Doesn’t matter their age. That is why some of our signings will have to be underage loans or otherwise, who do not count towards the 25.
We haven't seen Tharme play yet and you are already sending him out onloan!

Take Mcgrandles off he's gone to Charlton
Yes and public sector barristers will get their 15% + and the rail strike will be over and Ukraine will have defeated RussiaWill this thread reach 500 before a, signing is made?

Na we definitely need some investment.Unless we're going to buy somebody absolutely bloody marvellous, I'm really ok if we get nobody in.

Couldn’t find the rest of his eyebrows, the weird fucker.Did he fail his medical?
Agree, it is slightly worrying and disappointing that we've yet to sign anyone. Not signing anyone, is not really standing still, it's going backwards. i know there's four weeks to go before the season starts but it's better if we have our new players heere ready to go and integrated into the system of how the manager wants us to play.Na we definitely need some investment.
To make the sort of progression someone like Coventry has. Although I think our first season was better than theirs.
Our midfield is short, badly needs more quality, Stewart goes down far too much.
We need a class ball playing midfielder and a RB. Plus of JB goes we can then get a winger, another midfielder, maybe a prem striker on loan.
We don't want to stand still
After tomorrow , Appleton will have had a fortnight to weigh up the players . Ok no games involved but he must have an idea of who he does andAgree, it is slightly worrying and disappointing that we've yet to sign anyone.
