Anyway I see Millwall , who seem to have recruited well, have just signed a striker from Union Berlin. Feels we are fishing in too small a pool.
I think we're fishing in the Grand Union canal.Anyway I see Millwall , who seem to have recruited well, have just signed a striker from Union Berlin. Feels we are fishing in too small a pool.
So there aren’t any favours done by politicians in any country except this one. Is that what you’re saying? If not then your point is invalid, if yes then it’s time you woke up.While we vacillated througout on managing covid through Johnson' s leadership. They all soon caught us up and probably didnt pass on all those huge contracts for Covid masks etc to friends and associates.
Not a lot that appeals when it comes to Millwall and the low life scum that surface whenever they play a team with a similar legacy of hooligans e.g Leeds, Chelsea, West Ham. Also, the actual cost of living in London is horrendous. This is not a problem if you're at Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal earning >100K a week but I don't think Millwall will be offering that kind of money. It’s much easier for clubs like Millwall to bring in foreigners. For one the prospect of living and working in and around London is probably a damn site more appealing to any young foreign millionaire than even a city like Manchester or Liverpool. The transport links to the continent of course make the move to a London club that bit easier than a club outside of the capital. Also I imagine its easier to fit in, and probably more importantly to a footballer go under the radar, when living in a major city. Not to mention they’ll find more home comforts from back home and likely a better and easier transition for both themselves and their family.
I’ve always felt a London club has that much greater a pull when trying to sign players. It’s a shame but understandable.
Is Brexit a striker if so play him upfront with CovidFree movement for all of us was a wonderful for us and our children.
Todd Kane (Coventry City) was mentioned on here a few weeks back as a potential right back. Now out for a while recovering from knee surgery.
they got through didn't they??Shamrock Rovers were potted out of Europe last night. Lyons incoming??
They did !they got through didn't they??

He hardly played any games for his club and has 6 caps for USA. I thought there was some rule that said they would have had to have played a certain percentage of the team's last so many games?Because the striker in question had international caps and appearances in La Liga.
It cost 'Boro over 3 Million to make that signing, money that we simply do not have.
The point is that the players that we were able to get cheaply from the EU (Angel, Gomes, Ludo, etc.) did not have that type of pedigree, but were still able to sign them because of the immigration regulations.
Those regulations are now more strict so we are not able to sign that type of player.
This doesn't explain all of our transfer woes, but it is something to keep in mind, because just about every player we've been in for has been UK based, and since many clubs like ourselves are not able to go to the EU, those UK based players have very inflated prices.
Nathan Broadhead. So we have missed out on him, Simms and Dobbin from Everton. All strikers gone out on loan.Whilst we are pratting around, Wigan have managed to bring in two strikers this week
I don't know how old you are, but in the late 70's, perhaps the early 80's we were in for a player from Nice/Monaco, the name escapes....it wasn't Robert Prizt who I would have loved to sign. I can picture his face and hair....arrrrgggghhhh.It’s much easier for clubs like Millwall to bring in foreigners. That friendly did not do us any favours thenNathan Broadhead. So we have missed out on him, Simms and Dobbin from Everton. All strikers gone out on loan.

They might think we will have 3 in midfield with two young attacking midfielders and one rather vulnerable holding midfielder. Just a hunch. Not sure why they'd think that.We have a forward that a a Championship side, who just missed out on the playoffs ( Millwall ) think is worth a bid. Just a thought, maybe we could try and in co-operate him into a system that suits.
Wonder if Swansea think we'll be playing 433 tomorrow and have madea few plans.

He’s played 6 games in the last 18 months for the USA which is likely enough. He’s played a decent amount of games in the Bundesliga and Spanish Leagues, possesses EU nationality and being just 21 I’m pretty sure that is also taken into account in terms of no. / % of games played as a younger player isn’t expected to have developed immediatelyHe hardly played any games for his club and has 6 caps for USA. I thought there was some rule that said they would have had to have played a certain percentage of the team's last so many games?

Well I'd have taken Broadhead, his games per goal ratio at Sunderland was excellent. Are they any good?

Sunderland were interested and would have taken him back but had Simms as 1st choice. It's telling that Sunderland weren't interested in bringing him back, and he's surprisingly old for a player who was being sent on loan two divisions lower.
Media are cunts.Blackpool needs to lose its reputation as a deprived area full of obese DSS benefit scroungers, druggies, and dossers.
Living in exile it's sad to see the reports that constantly paint the place in a bad light.
Never a mention of the nicer areas in the town and around the Fylde coast.
Then we might become a more desirable club destination for players.
Places like Luton, Birmingham et al - are a million times worse than Blackpool.
Correction, the Sunderland news has always had Broadhead as I st choice striker and have been in for him all summer, but the lad made it clear he wanted to stay in the north west and chose Wigan!Sunderland were interested and would have taken him back but had Simms as 1st choice.
As I said some time back it seems easier to stay in Europe than exit, even if Shamrock Rovers lose over two legs to Ferencvaros they are playingBugger!
That’s why he’s still here. After that performance I am honestly fine with letting Bowler go if it's for 3m...

Yates too.. not good enoughAfter that performance I am honestly fine with letting Bowler go if it's for 3m...
I'd love to know what was wrong with Colby Bishop's medical that we baulked at but Pompy thought was OK!!!
Kirk back on the radar !!!Can anyone subscribed to Nixon's Patreon post this week's news? Apparently about a left winger.
If anyone at the club sees Kirk an improvement, we are definitely in trouble.Kirk back on the radar !!!
Must be plenty of players from that FIFA top 50 ranking list cheaper & better than the likes of Brannagan

He didn’t chase every ball, didn’t work his socks off and didn’t get a run of games because he wasn’t good enough. Just the same as his former teammate Dale. Not sure why everyone is so down on Kirk. He never really had a run of games but whenever he played he chased every cause, worked his bollocks off, whipped in some excellent crosses (and had a decent set piece on him) and he’s a proven attacking player with plenty of experience despite being just 24. I quite like him and would be happy to have him back. My only real concern is a lack of pace. When he played last season he wasn’t the main man and expected to drive at defences in the same way Bowler was - he was expected to get balls in the box - which he did and did well.
Edit * 9 matches and 3 assists is a great return.
It’s a game of opinions tbh but I’m not sure you have a clue tbh because I’m basing it on what I saw.He didn’t chase every ball, didn’t work his socks off and didn’t get a run of games because he wasn’t good enough. Just the same as his former teammate Dale.
