RacistIt's definitely getting more interesting now all the nations that pack their team with nationals born in other countries have gone out. It's starting to resembling international football again.

Rubbish it would have been just as good if played elsewhere and |I'm pretty sure fewer workers would have died. Giving credence to these disgusting theocratic states is a bad move, very bad.Who bitched and moaned about the World Cup

It would have to start with FIFA thinking yeah it's a bit dodgy we're not going there. But they won't because they're a big events company and don't discriminate as long the money comes in and they hit their targets for it. They've had Wenger in to see if they can get away with doing one a month.Rubbish it would have been just as good if played elsewhere and |I'm pretty sure fewer workers would have died. Works for me. Give me Gary Goals and I'll sign over everything I ownMany people are easily led. Give them goals and they will follow like sheep.
I might even be with you on that quest. As for the World Cup, naah.Works for me. Give me Gary Goals and I'll sign over everything I own
Very well put. Add to that the spectacle of Wenger, Beckham and a whole pile of hypocrite pundits sucking on the teat, and Infantino's posturing. The football's been entertaining thoughI think it's possible to despise the process that delivered this absolute circus of corruption in the middle of most countrys seasons AND enjoy the spectacle. The whole situation sucks but this is probably the most fun World Cup I've ever seen.
Nothing wrong with where it is have you been?Nothing to do with the football on show it's where it's being played stupid.
Lapping it up from the media arn't you?I 'm sure that the bereaved families of those construction workers are huddled around their TV's, rejoicing in the feast of football laid on by FIFA and Qatar...
Who needs compensation when the football is this entertaining.
And Morocco.Apart from France
Beckhams hypocrisy and sheer greed has made him the standout prick to me of this WC!Very well put. Add to that the spectacle of Wenger, Beckham and a whole pile of hypocrite pundits sucking on the teat, and Infantino's posturing. The football's been entertaining though
And Portugal -Brazilian PepeAnd Morocco.
Just to add about Morocco they have more Frenchmen in their team than FranceAnd Portugal -Brazilian Pepe
Also at the 2018 WC eight of the squad where born outside the country.
I stand corrected but I don’t recall 6,500 migrant workers being killed in any other World Cup that’s been staged?Who bitched and moaned about the World Cup

Of course it's to do with the football. It's the World Cup and some on here are boycotting watching FOOTBALL because of POLITICS. So phil is spot on that people are bitching and moaning about the World Cup.Nothing to do with the football on show it's where it's being played stupid.
Is there any actual hard evidence that it's 6500 who have been killed because of the construction of stadiums of this World Cup? Think you'll find that the figure is less than 100 DIRECTLY linked to it. So to me, it seems that if some-one died of a heart attack whilst having something to eat it would be classed as one of those 6500 so there's a total manipulation of the figures and the media have jumped on it. That's not to say, there hasn't been serious problems with regards to human rights etc and of course even less than 100 is too many.I stand corrected but I don’t recall 6,500 migrant workers being killed in any other World Cup that’s been staged?
Even this week we had one worker killed in the Saudi Arabia camp who fell to his death.
Just Shocking.
Link this with the human rights element and sadly this World Cup will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
I'd be surprised if people are boycotting watching (30m expected to tune in at 7), they just didn't realise that once it started and you got an ignite that you'd be drawn in.Of course it's to do with the football. yes, I agree especially with your last point. But that said, it's perhaps only western European nations that are making such a big issue out of it. And there's certainly some on here boycotting it.I'd be surprised if people are boycotting watching (30m expected to tune in at 7), they just didn't realise that once it started and you got an ignite that you'd be drawn in.
As I said numerous times the complaints should have been made more vocally when they were awarded it.
You'd also hope when it's over that countries would talk to each other and present a united front complaint to FIFA and demand explainations and the like.
Sure am, as opposed to the rhetoric spouted out by FIFA and their Qatari paymasters....Lapping it up from the media arn't you?

they all say, but can't provide hard evidence. One says it. they'll all say it. 6500 imo is a very large number and frankly I don't believe it. They will pick something like that up from human rights groups who will obviously accentuate and inflate the numbers to highlight the problem. Like I said, some-one could be off duty not working but if he died doing something else, they'd attribute it to the numbers. I've seen the headlines. but no hard evidence. You only have to read the article to cast serious doubt on its accuracy. You can choose from anyone of dozens of news papers or media news outlets but they all say the same 6,500 migrant workers have died constructing the stadiums since Qatar was awarded the World Cup 10 years ago.

So your saying as long as it’s not 6,500 it’s acceptable?they all say, but can't provide hard evidence. C'mon read my posts properly. I said this. "That's not to say, there hasn't been serious problems with regards to human rights etc and of course even less than 100 is too many."So your saying as long as it’s not 6,500 it’s acceptable?
One death is too many but as we all know (some are denial) it’s into the thousands.
I really think the human rights issue is way way behind the number of deaths this event has caused.C'mon read my posts properly. I said this. "That's not to say, there hasn't been serious problems with regards to human rights etc and of course even less than 100 is too many."
