Cardiff City v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.12.22

Some negative Nigels on this thread

Painful......

In all fairness, there's not a lot to shout about.

Happy to have egg on my face if something happens, but we look a bad side. Easily countered, directionless, outworked and giving the ball away cheaply.

We've scored one goal in five games. Losing four of them. This looks to be going a similar way unless we get up for it.

Inevitable, and far far too easy.

This is utterly shocking against a team that is down there too.

The writing is on the wall for the manager I'm afraid.

That is the fourth time they've come straight through us. Williams fast asleep on the cover and not quick enough. Lavery at least working hard. He doesn't have much skill but you always get a shift out of him.

Need more than that out of a forward I’m afraid.

Only so long we can go on like this.
We are hoping the turnaround will just happen. It needs managerial change and backing the new manager in the January window. If a heavy defeat today means we get rid I would take it now.

I don’t think we’ve delivered one decent cross in yet?

We’ve got Madine and Jerry who are both great at attacking crosses. It does feel like with those two, we’d be better off 4-4-2.

I wanted 4-1-2-3 to work but it doesn’t seem to suit us at all. That’ll be why Critch abandoned it and then enjoyed success.

If we go with 3 in midfield then it can’t be both Carey and Patino as that doesn’t click often either

I pity the 200 or so that have travelled...they deserve much better...this needs to improve and NOW...sleepwalking to relegation and soon be bottom of the league
