Blackpool v Fleetwood Official Matchnight Thread 09.04.24

We need to get rid of the majority if not all of these strikers in the summer. Not known us to have such a bunch of ineffective forwards for a very long time.

Derby County v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 29.03.24

We’ve a team jam-packed with mediocre footballers that simply aren’t capable of winning promotion out of this league. Needs some big changes in the summer otherwise this garbage is here to stay for a while

    10/3 on Friday

In the last 11 league meetings with Derby, we’ve won just once and lost 10! Think it’ll take something miraculous for us to get any sort of positive result

    Attendance Tomorrow?

11.5k-12k tops. Loads of empty seats and we’ve only given them 2.5k

    Has anyone enjoyed this season?

It’s been awful. We make choices to attend games to be entertained so when that goes and the product makes you miserable , it’s illogical to keep it up. I’ve even got to the point that ive decided against getting tickets should we get to the BSM Final. Seems a strange thing to celebrate on...

    Two points lost. !

Two points dropped but it’s consistent with the season we’ve had. We’re not a playoff team as we’re not good enough and people need to process that. The table doesn’t lie - we’re the 8th best team in this division and have been for a long time . Whether you like it or not, that’s the facts and...

    League 1 predictor

We’re an average team that is consistently inconsistent so will likely finish mid-table. We’re nowhere near good enough to go up and suspect it’ll be a good while before we do.

    Reality check

I think fans need to put aside what their heart hope for and face reality that we’re just a very average mid-table league one side. We’ve already been heavily beaten at home twice before November by two sides that will be in the promotion shakeup, showing there is a sizeable gulf in quality...

Points from the next 5 games

Cheltenham at home & Fleetwood away are the only games we’ll will out of that, with probably 2 losses and a draw . We’re a bang average team that is mid table at best

Exeter City v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 12.08.23

Whilst still early days I’ve seen nothing from Virtue or Dale to suggest they should be around the squad on match days. Still players to come in and hopefully transfers in both directions happen prior to the end of the window.

Exeter City v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 12.08.23

Assuming Weir signed too late to be part of today's squad. Joseph is the strange one as he's either not fit or Crich doesn't think he's good enough to be part of the squad. Hopefully it's just match fitness he's working up and maybe part of Tuesday game

    Next targets ?

I can’t see Moxon being on our radar anymore after signing Weir, maybe one parked for next season now . Sounds like there’s at least another imminent from what Critch said , which doesn’t put us that far away from being a serious contender. Will be interesting to see who is let out on loan and...

    Next targets ?

Looks like we’ve missed out on Banks , who’s Blackburn bound and apparently Waghorn as well as he opts for Derby instead. Have to stay I’m not bothered on the latter as I didn’t rate him much. onto plan b/ c , which hopefully includes Moxon

    Kev Stewart

Not really sure why there is such aggression on KS. If the club agree to sign and pay it’s up to them - it doesn’t come out of your wages so why get so irate about it?! If he can prove his fitness and the club negotiate an amicable deal for all parties , I’d be delighted to see him sign as he’s...

    How many players still required

I have a suspicion if Stewart proves his fitness he’ll be also offered a deal. I’m not saying that’s my preference I just think we’ll take a close look at him whilst he trains and if Critch gets the confidence he needs on his fitness and the right deal can be agreed he’ll be added . We all know...

    £2.5m for Yates

The fee is totally irrelevant, what’s important is the quality of players we bring in and the impact they have on the new season. We could get £15m for Yates and either not spend it or invest it on absolute flops so becomes immaterial. No idea why some fans feel the need to demand so much...

    Critchley Confirmed - Official

Bitterly disappointed with the last two appointments but feel very positive with Critchley returning . Very good coach , was great for us and had he left with the right words people would feel different . The past can’t be changed but we can all be part of making the future a positive and...

    Forest

Seems to be high demand for tickets from Forest fans. No idea why tickets went on sale late but suspect we’ll see a fair few in the home end depending on whether we release an additional allocation like we did for Blackburn and Hudds.

    Huddersfield reflection

I sometimes think pausing and reflecting upon a game for 12 -24 hours provides a more balanced and rounded view as you remember more than your initial emotional feelings. Aside from the unnecessary delays getting into the ground, I thought the atmosphere from our fans from outstanding from the...

    Measured Progress

i had a wonderful reflection yesterday at full time, looking out at a packed Bloomfield Road, bouncing and cheering the players off the pitch, having won a local derby and sitting mid table in the championship. It really wasn’t that long ago we found ourselves in the unpalatable position of...
