Someone put it on Twitter. It's going even lower, Where's this come from?
He’s passing on what someone has reported in fairness to him, so isn’t making himself look stupid.Dangerous amount of misinformed fans spreading utter nonsense. Nobody knows the fee apart from those who need to. Stop making yourself look ridiculously stupid.
As I said in the other thread, funny how this price is coming from welsh journalists, definitely seems like theyre trying to say its lower to make it sound better for them, we reportedly rejected 2.5mil earlier in the window? Maybe its 2.5 rising to £4mil or something but definitely find it hard to believe its just 2.5mil and if it is yet again the club have questions to answerIf that’s true that’s disgusting and we’ve let him go cheap. Sick of being such a push over
Oh it must be gospel then. See clubs tweet 24 hours ago
20% was the rumour when we bought himWhat's Rotherham's cut?
2.5m plus a 21 year old who scored 9 League goals for a team that didn't create many opportunities (8th lowest scorers in the League last year). Yeah that would be pretty good. Highly doubt it's true mind.£2.5m and Kyle Joseph the latest rumours doing the rounds.
Whatever we get will be undisclosed anyway
Ah ! If its Twitter it must be true.Someone put it on Twitter.
Because he’s a money man and selling a commodity for 10 times what you paid he would consider good business. It won't be £2.5m, we've already rejected that amount. Many on this forum have been very clear that they think Sadler's policies have been designed to extract as much money from fans as possible via ticketing, season ticket cards, among other things. So with that in mind, what makes anyone think he'll sell a player for way below market value?
But selling it for less than it's worth isn't good business. It's terrible business actually because you get a reputation for not understanding the value of a commodity, and consequently you'll constantly get offered less than the value of future commodities.Because he’s a money man and selling a commodity for 10 times what you paid he would consider good business.
So it’s true then is it?Can’t believe we’ve let our best player go for a measly £2.5m to a championship club.
FFS Simon what are you doing man?
Yeah it’s pretty stupid to be honest. He’s passing on what someone has reported in fairness to him, so isn’t making himself look stupid.
I can’t believe we’d accept less than £2.5m though
I understand and agree, I was just putting forward a suggestion as to why we would give him away. Apart from the obvious, we always sell cheap. But selling it for less than it's worth isn't good business. It's terrible business actually because you get a reputation for not understanding the value of a commodity, and consequently you'll constantly get offered less than the value of future commodities.
Just going on what a few sports reporters have tweeted tonight that’s all also just checked out the Swansea board and they feel they got a steal at around £2.5m.So it’s true then is it?
The only people who don't feel it's a steal are on here. And in the boardroom (if it's true, but hopefully not).Just going on what a few sports reporters have tweeted tonight that’s all also just checked out the Swansea board and they feel they got a steal at around £2.5m.
A bit sad, especially as you have to wonder why he would want to go to Swansea. Why didn't we play hardball? once he's sold he's the new club's problem, have we been too weak?Jerry wanted to go to Swansea. There were higher bids but he didn’t want to go there so the club acquiesced to his wishes to ensure the sale happened and the player got his wish.
Some may say player power is ridiculous others may call it rewarding his loyalty but either way, it’s a much lower fee than it should have been.
The thing is, every single one of these rumours is various media outlets spinning stuff that originated on here, and as such, is completely worthless.£2.5m and Kyle Joseph the latest rumours doing the rounds.
Whatever we get will be undisclosed anyway
I hoped he'd stay, but he is a Championship goal scorer at his peak. As such, he goes with my best wishes. Why would we keep anyone who didn't want to be here? All you'd do is devalue him for when he actually goes, and don't get the best out of him while he's here.A bit sad, especially as you have to wonder why he would want to go to Swansea. But what is Lytham kevs, take on it?Jerry wanted to go to Swansea. There were higher bids but he didn’t want to go there so the club acquiesced to his wishes to ensure the sale happened and the player got his wish.

Because there were other clubs in for him who offered more and would he turn them down if Blackpool told him they will sell him but not to the lowest bidder.I hoped he'd stay, but he is a Championship goal scorer at his peak. And you know for a fact that other clubs have made bigger bids?Because there were other clubs in for him who offered more and would he turn them down if Blackpool told him they will sell him but not to the lowest bidder.
There's absolutely no point in putting all this effort and resource into identifying players as well as securing them and taking the risk of long term contracts, only to capitulate on the outgoing negotiations.... It's absolutely vital that we maximise the value of every outgoing player.I hoped he'd stay, but he is a Championship goal scorer at his peak. As such, he goes with my best wishes. I certainly don’t begrudge him a move for more money and a higher grade of football. The hissy fits are all about the price, if the figures of around £2.5 million are accurate, then the twitterati are right, it’s a steal. Once you get a reputation for giving players away, all other clubs will play tge same game. Unfortunately we already have this reputation and appear to be living down to it.I hoped he'd stay, but he is a Championship goal scorer at his peak. As such, he goes with my best wishes. And who's to say we haven't. Not a shred of evidence for this £2.5 million quoted, other than speculation on here. There's absolutely no point in putting all this effort and resource into identifying players as well as securing them and taking the risk of long term contracts, only to capitulate on the outgoing negotiations....
