“A win at the weekend could then transform our season.”

According to Larry. Would a win on Saturday feel like a stepping stone on which to build or would it feel like a bit of a hollow victory after the last 10 games?

Personally I'll always take a win (and I've forgotten what one feels like) but the season will only be transformed if they follow that up with another 3/4 wins.

basically as you call it - a wins a win but needs to be followed up.

We've never been out of games throughout our current slump. Confidence is shot so to some extent, a convincing win could reignite our season. If I were Campbell I'd be saying keep it tight for 20 minutes and their fickle fanbase will be right on the players backs.

Like the positivity of some posters but it will take more than a couple of wins to get Larry off the hook.

You stick to your happy clapping then. To say we have never been out of games in our current slump haha take those tangerine tinted glasses of for a bit and you may see it differently..,.

Go on then. When did we get battered? Haven't lost by more than one and had great chances at both Wycombe and Oxford to take a point.

I think if we do get that win on Saturday and it is CONVINCING it can kick us on. The next 5 games are all extremely winnable

your memory must be fading in your old age as you forget the chances the opponents have had to win handsomely! Wycombe were more than comfortable in seeing the game out and ok we could and should have snatched a point at Oxford but by then they had also squandered two great chances to get out of sight.

having said that I think we will win our next two home games, maybe the tangerine tinted glasses are infectious 😜

I think the seasons dead now and will just fizzle out. Once we’re mathematically safe all decisions should be made with the summer in mind

I don't particularly care about whether Larry gets off the hook or not. I'm more concerned about saving our season then if he's got anything about him, prepare a team for 20/21. In fairness, once we're mathematically safe I think so is Grayson but the team will have to be far more competitive in the remaining games to appease both the fans and Sadler.

We also never looked like winning those games Wiz. Or are you happy to play for draws ?
I never said I was happy with it, just that it's fine margins between winning and losing. We could quite easily have won a fair few of the games we've lost or drawn.

And what about the two Nuttall sitters at Wycombe in the last five minutes? City battered Spurs and lost. We could easily have done a Spurs in quite a few games.

haha hardly sitters.
Whichever way you look at it we didn’t and our overall play didn’t deserve it....

All a win would do is prolong our suffering of his anti football, turgid rubbish. In order to reach the top 6 we would need to win 5 on the spin, something he is capable of overseeing.

I think it's massive game.
Win and we start back on the right road.
Lose and possibly the end for Larry?

For me, that is the sign of a worried manager. What he's basically saying is that if he wins at the weekend, he's off the hook, the pressure is off and he doesn't need to worry about the next half dozen games because that ugly stat of no wins in 10 will have gone.

As other have said a season is only transformed when you put a long unbeaten run together. Get to the end of Feb with half a dozen wins and he might find he will get a few back on side and the less couple of months were a blip. However, one win won't win that many over Larry.
