All stock investors out there......

About to go big time this stock, imo. Everything looks ready. No reason for it still to be held at 3p. If Brent continues to rise above $76 per barrel (or even hold at that level), the bonds are well on their way to being paid off. This looks and feels like it’s massively undervalued. 30p within 6 months, imo, but obviously DYOR.
30p - What planet?

you might hit 10p with a good wind (New management or Spirit coming up with something) or a re-finance on the Bonds

Still spewing a lot of water on well six 33% and if that increases its wipeout. Well 7 died at 50%.

Tread carefully

It was still a good punt for a couple of weeks up 80%
If it does hit 10p then you are still looking at doubling your money.
Thanks for the detail on well performance though

Just had a reasonable punt on BBBY - Bed Bath and Beyond.

About 25% down on today - although has a very good CEO.

Anyone got any other tips (not that mine is a tip) ?

You might want to have a look at AVCT. Not necessarily for its best in class LFT that should be in the shops soon, but for their cancer treatment. It'll be mind blowing if it comes off, but is a couple of years away.

The company did a presentation today to support its interims RNSed this morning. Worth digging out and watching. The CEO is really good at explaining complex medical stuff in laymans terms.

NAI, DYOR etc etc and for transparency i have quite a lot of these and will be interested to see how it goes over the next couple of years.

I’ve been watching Avacta for a while. Price fell off a bit of a cliff after the heights of May. 👍

This company is a quandary. Not everything can be relied upon. Including well data provided before this year. A couple of the old board of directors were ousted for deliberately running the share value down.
There’s still a couple of the bad apples remaining on the BoD, hence the rather unhelpful news story this week which is most likely inaccurate and pushed the price down when everything was starting to look rosy. (Was up 63% in the week up to that point.) The major shareholder is seeking to open an enquiry into their behaviour.
Given the surge in Brent value and high production, the Bonds look like being paid on time and profits are right up. Everything points to it being the most undervalued stock in the U.K. oil & gas industry. Even the Fool has changed its tune on this company and shorters are reducing their interest. It often does well on a Friday, so I’m expecting an increase tomorrow.

Maris and his mate on the board are a disgrace.

it's a gamble Neil. (Nowt wrong with a gamble btw)

It was stated quite clearly only on Monday that the bubble point could be reached (March 2022) if everything continues at the present rate of trajectory. August OWC was 29% - at present it is 33% with only one EPS functioning as it should be. Hence the drop.

Needs balls of steel this one.

Yep. Typical AIM stock attracted the gamblers who thought there was a quick buck to be made on LFT news. When it didn't happen within 5 minutes they moved on, and that coupled with a rumoured shorting attack brought the price back down.

I'm still in decent profit at these levels (got in before Covid was even known about, for the cancer therapies) so am happy to wait it out.

I think the price has over corrected from those highs, but we will see.

Good luck 👍

The RNS yesterday seemed overly pessimistic imo and had all the hallmarks of the previous Board of Director’s. Feels like it originated from Maris and Chaffe. Sooner the company is rid of that pair, the better. The new Director’s are a breath of fresh air. Just what was needed.

There is no doubt the FTSE is showing value, and hopefully now BREXIT is sorted and COVID maybe - it will benefit massively.

Think we are in for a bumpy ride though for the next few weeks with the markets.
Covid sorted in Feb 2021. How did that go?

Overall I wished I’d sold the lot when you told me to! I did 85% last year and this year I’m back to 28% above my original capital. (If I’d have sold and bought back I’d be laughing!!!)

The one I’m excited about still is Copl. They’ve discovered 1.9billion barrels of oil in Wyoming on their land. It’ll take a while to play out but they’ll either do it theirselves or more likely sell out / farm it.

I ended up buying back in but not to the extent I was before - sat with about 70% cash currently.

Even though I am taking a kicking at the moment, I am confident in what I currently own - so going to do the square root of fa.

Although, I will be buying on the way down.

I'll have a look at COPL - thanks 👍

I’ve not panicked. The shares I hold I’m confident in despite their current SP. I’m doing the Warren Buffet patience bit 😁

Shorted US Crude Oil yesterday at $85 a barrel.
I am £125 up already.

Held my nerve when I shorted Tesla before Christmas.
Was a few grand down at one time now creeping back into the black again.

I bought some COPL about 6 months ago. That recent announced oil discovery has certainly helped. As a company they seem to be pretty well run, imo.

It’s sat at 35p currently but massively undervalued. Once the CRP confirms how much oil they can extract then it should be 10 times current value minimum as a company

I’ve reinvested some money.
Took a small long-term (high risk) punt on SIMEC Atlantis Energy (SAE.L), only because of the very low price and high potential given the technology they have and the drive to clean tidal energy.

Looks like Hurricane (HUR.L) will have the bonds paid off early - by the next offload (possibly next week) or at least easily have enough cash in bank to pay the bond holders. This weeks’ end of year RNS report was typically bland and at the bottom end of the predicted cash flow. Any other BoD would be heralding the spectacular results since summer. The production levels are still very high, even though they are reliant on the 1 well. It’s producing at these levels despite the BoD doom-and-gloom ‘bubble point’ warnings from the rogue Director. Brent hit a 7 year high this week. The company has tax credits worth close to 20p sp alone. Shorters have closed their position a couple of months ago. All adds up to HUR being the most undervalued oil stock in the U.K., imo. DYOR

Have these shares been diluted, back in 2014 they were 1,500 and have not really moved since 2017.

Yes massively. He’s diluted more times than he’s had hot dinners which is why the price is so low. He’s not been well advised along the way.
New CFO and real findings mean people moving in.

It's holding up well thanks to Price Of Oil. High risk - high rewards. Good luck.

i3e for me - bought at 5p sold at 16 bought back at 11- pays a divi annually of 1.02p .circa 10%

First quarter this year should see 20+ drills in Canada and a possible farm in for a NS project.

25/30p by year end

Rbd - is my long punt bought at 0.012 and presently 0.026

SIMEC is a strange one - up and down like a brides nightie. Pellet recycling and tidal energy. Should be doing better on paper but the owner in Gupta is in the papers too much with his 'other' projects.

On another note. My plumber told me he just got stung in a pyramid scheme from an “investor” in Blackburn.
The Guy was meeting at the Beach house with large number of people from Blackpool area and promising returns of 4-5% per month. He’s just been rumbled and people have lost millions in it. It’s been going on for a couple of years apparently?
My plumber and his brother were in for 120k

There’s a definite DYOR moral in there.

On the Copl share.

1.9 billion barrels of oil discovered in USA on low tax federal land Chevron and Exxon are the neighbours.
Unlike most other oil explorers they’re already drilling and already extracting it so no chance of a duster

Even if it is only 20% recoverable then at $10 per barrel profit net the mcap is ridiculously higher than the current £70m. They’ll need to fund the new drills but it can be from opex of existing drills

I don’t think it’ll get that far though. More likely bought out by Chevron for £3 or £4 per share.

The COPL story reminds me of what could be for HUR this year.
Sitting on the vast West of Shetland reserves. Once bonds are paid off shortly, I’d expect some drill sites in that area by late summer. As for WoS potential, it depends if you believe the 1st CPR which would put this share in the 60p sp bracket, or the 2nd CPR (when the ex-BoD we’re trying to give this company away before court judge intervened). Even if another CPR was somewhere in between, you’d be looking at region of 20-30p sp. Imo
