Another seasider gone

Just been sent a message that Dave Burns, long time Blackpool fan and very keen charity fundraiser has died.
No more details but a character who will be remembered.
I recall being in Florida in 1996 and had my Blackpool shirt on. Dave was in front of us in queue when he chirped up 'I travel 4000 miles and see a fellow seasider'!
RiP Dave
RIP 😞

RIP.

Been reading about his charity exploits and its fantastic stuff. Very sad to hear and I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.

RIP Dave - did he have a southern accent?

Always used to see him around town and have a chat about The Pool, nice man who had a massive appetite for life. RIP Dave

Yeah - he came from London many years ago. He used to work at Blackpool North station in the 70s and 80s and used to always used to dress as Santa in the run up to Christmas.
He was also an Olympic torch carrier in 2012
I know him then. Was always a friendly face at matches. How sad he's gone.

I see David Heaton died recently, wheelchair bound due to a car accident. Was a para olympian fencer, said in write up he was a pool fan. Always came acrossvas a good lad when I talked to him but had his problems. RIP those we have lost.

Played snooker against Dave for many many years. Lovely fella. Was really sad to see he'd passed away.

Can't say I knew him, but he was a pool fan, so part of the family.

RIP Dave and my thoughts to his family.
