Blackpool v Bournemouth Official Matchday Thread 12.02.21

It’s that trip from Sterling that’s knackered is there.he’s backed into their man and stumbled over otherwise he would be able to get out to Dembele and stop the shot.

25 seconds left what a cruel game this is

I thought every single man played their part today.a real team performance full of energy. Difficult to pick just one man out from that maybe I’d say Gabriel for motm. Stewart went the distance and played very well and shoutout to Ollie Casey who I’ve had doubts about from the glimpses I’ve ever seen of him but he put a class block in on their guy.Remember Casey saying those last ditch blocks are his specialty.

Second game in a row where an injury on the back line meant we weren't able to make as many attacking changes as we would like. Very unlucky today on all counts, but it's so incredibly frustrating to be in this position where we coould have been 2/3-0 up and now we've somehow managed to lose. We were the better team by a good margin today.

As with the Boro game, that hurts, as we deserved so much more. We can look at the poor officials, which clearly didn't help but we have to take our chances when we are on top. Football can be a cruel game, you kind of knew it might happen when they scored a late equaliser. The performance was fantastic, ultimately you spend millions, like Bournemouth and that's what it can do, win points when they didn't deserve any.

Absolutely gutted. We deserved to win that. Shows how far we’ve come when we can give the likes of money bags Bournemouth a game like that. Unlucky!!!

But what chances are we pinpointing from today that are wasted chances? The one on one for CJ is a good block. The keepers pulled off two worldies from Madines lay off for bowler and madines six yard header.

I don’t think we were very wasteful today to be honest

It was going to hurt to just take a point and it's hurting even more now that we're taking nothing, but looking at the big picture here, we've come a looooooong way.

We just played a team de$tined for promotion with a squad worth 10x ours off the park.

Wasn't a bad performance today and can fault no players, they worked their tails off and did everything they could have. Not their fault Bournemouth's keeper had a worldie of a performance and the referee was being a **.

Give Critchley 2-3 more years with some of these players and we could legitimately be challengers in this league. UTMP.

Should Grimshaw be getting beat at his near post from there? Not sure.he’s left the lad a huge gap there to be honest.can see how he would think the ball would come across the six yard box though

Daylight robbery. How on Earth did we lose that? Showed them far too much respect during the first 20 mins, but should have had a hatful second half. If Gabriel could shoot, he’d be a hell of a player. Well, a better one than he is now. Sick to the pit of my stomach at the moment.

Not sure it will take that long. Maybe another transfer window or two but not sure we need 4 or 6 transfer windows. We aren't too far off.

Only saw the second half but we were brilliant. This will go down as a lucky win for them.

Our support sounded fantastic, hats off to everyone who was there.
