Blackpool v Cardiff City Official Matchday Thread 14.08.21

From their forum..

Cardiff have only won two of their last 24 league visits to Blackpool (D6 L16), a 1-0 win in 2007-08 and a 2-1 victory in 2012-13.

Blackpool have won their first home league match of the season in four of the last five seasons (L1), winning 2-0 against Swindon Town last season.

The last time Blackpool hosted Cardiff in their first home league match of the season was in 2009-10, drawing 1-1 – the sides would then play the final match of that Championship season in the play-off final at Wembley, a 3-2 victory for the Tangerines.

Jealous of all of you going to this one, matches like this are what make all the years of hurt and bullshit worth it, our club is back back back and nowhere will it be more apparent than Bloomfield Road at 3 pm tomorrow. Cardiff are used to playing in a half-empty soulless piss-dome, lets go absolutely mental and scare the shit out of them. Lets roar the boys to victory, new heroes are being forged, in a world of constant fear and division we're about to experience memories that will live forever, COME ON YOU MIGHTY TANGERINE WIZARDS.

Lots of selection head aches for Critchley with the players that played Tuesday performance.
Maxwell
Garbutt Husband Keough Connolly
Dougall Ward. Anderson Bowler
Lavery Yates.

Yes same here, I was going to ask the same question. I expected commentary when watching the match replay, it’s not really the same without it.
Agreed. As well as commentary the full replay is also missing a score at the top of the screen or a minute count. It's tricky if you want to fast forward past a bit.

If Cardiff get a free kick towards the South today, it would be good to replicate the wiggly fingers!
😁

I suppose all the subs had 90 minutes or there abouts on Wednesday, would still like to have seen Yates and Lavery up front though, I'm sure Critch knows best :)

Having a pint in the bar at the ground, £5 for Fosters and a packet of crisps, obviously not been for a long time but that seems steep. Quiet in here as well. Lady behind the bar said the gate is 15,000

Some grounds charge you a fiver for a pint 3.50 is very reasonable a lot of pubs charge more than that. 👍

I'm mainly surprised that CJ starts ahead of Bowler, who was clearly better than him on Wednesday. The bench is very strong though, so we have have great options to change things.
