First things first, I don't like Critchley's/Calderwood's style of play. It reminds me of the infamous interview with Paul Ince at the end of the 2012/13 season highlights DVD: 1-0 is the best result. Keep your shape, keep it tight and score a goal. That for me is not the Blackpool way.
Then again, there's no point in me, or anyone, coming on here shouting for his head. It ain't going to happen.
So, what is there to say about the match? Yates was certainly off the boil. I'd have pulled him on the hour. Hamilton was not match ready but he contributed to an extent. He should have buried his chance.
Other than that, our passing was only consistently good in the final 15 mins but why we have to stroke it around in our own half when time is running out, AAAARGH!
Simms gets too much stick. His receiving, shielding and laying off are good. He should be in the hole, he's not a striker.
When Hamilton was hooked Kaikai should have gone with him; Mitchell on the left, Ward on the right. In fact, I would have started with Ward in place of CJ.
Finally, when is Madine coming off "the grass" and onto the pitch...we need him.
