Blackpool v Hull City Official Matchinght Thread 19.10.22

We're conceding far too many goals & 2 at home to shitty Hull 😥
We've had 43% possession, 72% pass completion - Hull 81%, and our attacking passes are 49%, while Hull's are 77%.
MA needs to sort things out over their brew, as we simply must not lose this game.

Generally Mappleton is very good at making in-game decisions and getting more from his players in the second half of a game, fully concur that Hull are shit so hopefully it won't take much to come out and dominate the second half. Just worry about that defence.

Being completely overrun once again in midfield we just have no answer to their players sweeping forward.
FFS look at the stats were making Hull look a decent side. 😳

I bet they can't believe their luck, turn out without a recognised forward and go in a half time having scored twice! Typical Blackpool to be fair, a first half of almost nothing after Saturday's heroics.
Perhaps we need Bridcutt in the second half to tighten the midfield up?

Callum Wright... what on earth was he thinking. You would have thought he'd learnt from the Hull City player getting booked. Just got to hope he stays on a yellow.

I knew that Docherty shot was heading in the moment he turned. It was the little touch forward with his left foot that made that goal. His first touch was perfect and put the pace on that shot.Great strike

I don't think it's luck they'll have had us watched and will have made their own tactical decisions.

very passive performance overall, giving hull space and time to pass and move.

very poor goal for their first, didnt look over the line from any of the replays, suppose we'll get shown a photoshopped version of it later.
great cross and superb goal from kenny,

for me theo off and bridcutt on move wright to a more forward role a get charlie patino doing things further forward, its sacrilige to have him so deep

another clueless ref, lets two deliberate pulls go from a hull player and then gives two very soft bookings for nowt

We have nothing to compete with Hull. Just totally one way. Depressing. No pattern, no shape, no consistency of performance from any of them.
