It's a great game so far
Just received praise on Lancs for getting a vital foot in.Great block from Marv and then Connolly but then poor from Dougall, and then a shocking cross from Connolly, who I have to say is just not a defensive midfielder.
That's Gretarrson for you. He's pretty good on the ball.Critchley taking a leaf out if Holloway's book with all the long diagonals being played here, particularly left to right
Classy on the ball.Thatd

'Daniel Grimshaw was off his line like a jack rabbit'
Chizzy back on form
I can't understand why he hasn't played before this week. He's very good, but unsurprisingly a little bit off the paceThatd

The long diagonal is a good outlet, it can turn defence onto attack very quickly. We have missed an out ball a lot this seasonThatd

Husband seems to be going back to his, Kick first, think second routine.Keshi and Dougall the pick for me - worried about Husband - maybe sub him for Mitchell at some point?
Worrying that he is now on a yellow. I can see it ending badly given his wreckless nature and the pace of Boro's widemanHusband seems to be going back to his, Koch first, think second routine.
I think Dougall and Connolly swapping positions would help them both.Pretty good end to end half. Jerry looks to be on fire, Madine bacon him up. I'm just not sure about Keshi being in the centre of midfield, he is better out wide and coming back in. The 2 wing backs have been excellent and they really give us some attacking purpose but are also defensively good. The back 3 have been excellent but Marv is stand out again, he must be on some PL teams radar, he's that good.
Dougall is struggling, probably because he is having to work doubly hard because of Connolly, who, I'm sorry, just isn't a midfielder of any sort. I know I keep going on about him but I just don't rate him. If we had had a back 5 tonight with Wintle next to Dougall and Carey in front then I think that would work really well. Shame Carey is long term injured and Wintle may be going back to Cardiff!
If Critch wants to change it in the second half he is going to have to revert to a 442 especially if he wants to bring Bowler on.
I couldn't understand why he flattened there right back in front of the South.Husband seems to be going back to his, Koch first, think second routine.
I think he's been excellent tonight, but he is prone to moments of madness especially near the touchline, it was totally unnecessary tonight and after his shocking tackle at Hudder's, where he could easily have been sent off, he doesn't help himself. However he has been stand out all season for me and we are a lot worse without him.I couldn't understand why he flattened there right back in front of the South.
Husbands a left footed player so it was more natural to tackle the full back rather than just push him. Strange & lazy really.
Interesting but I'm only listening so can't say.I think Dougall and Connolly swapping positions would help them both.
It is, wish Middlesbrough were! The most tuneless racket I've ever heard, sounds like every one of them has a bad cold, had to turn the TV down!!The North is very quiet tonight.
