Good half but since Bridcutt went off we have struggled in midfield. Score about right I reckon. MA needs to get them organised for the second half.
 
We urgently need Lyons as RB or cover. We're so weak there.

After Marv's mistakes, Jerry has been dragged back to assist at RB and we've lost the press we had, so they've had loads of time on the ball to play balls into our box. Admire Jerry, especially for his work rate, but he has to be up with Gaz in the 2nd half,not doing RB cover, or we'll lose.
 
They look a well drilled team that knows where the players should be and we look like a team playing without a system

It's an obvious flaw in his game. Don't know why he doesn't see a sports psychologist about it as his reactions are bob on - no need for him to hesitate or think twice. Get off the line and collect for goodness sake
 
Poor passing by us. Poor set up as well conceding too much ground in midfield and not working the ball forward through the centre of the pitch.

First of all, Preston look the better team, and we're fortunate to be level at half time.

We give the ball away too much and are being overrun in midfield. Woodburn's bossing the game for them

Too many back passes. TWICE Husband had a throw in about 10 yards from their goalline, and it ends up back with Maxwell.

Talking of which, Maxwell looks very dodgy. He doesn't command his area, and hesitated a couple of times, giving Preston chances.

Ekpiteta has had a nightmare, dodgy passes before their penalty, poor challenge for the penalty, and then more dodgy moments after.

Our Best Player. - Without a doubt CJ. He's terrorising their right back, and we should play a lot down the left in the 2nd half
 
defensively we look all over the place, and i have to admit look more composed on the ball, its all a bit helter skelter from us,

refs another cretin. doesnt book a preston player for a deliberate pull back in the first couple of minutes and what happens, they do it twice more, booking on the third one by the player who should have been booked for the first.

CJs having a good game and their left back is shit. probs swap around cj and Jerry for a while and see what happens

Marv needs to get his head back on.
 
Love to know what our training sessions consist of ?
Particularly when the opposition have the ball.
Put more energy into my morning tug than the midfield
 
Marv's strength is his recovery tackles and he has messed up two in tow games. Take that strength out and he becomes a pretty ordinary defender with very poor distribution. Sadly, the one today gets worse every time you look at it. We have to attack them to win, we just don't have the defensive cover in this team to play it cagey. Concerned Gaz won't last long too, he's clearly struggling.

This is shit. No shape, lightweight in midfield you've had long enough Appleton to sort this out. We are at home ffs.
 
Losing Bridcutt has changed the game completely, which is why the recruitment team had to get someone in for that position not just this season, but last season too. That has been a massive failure on their part. Stewart & Bridcutt are both good enough but they will always be out injured!
