Blackpool v Shrewsbury Town Official Matchday Thread 24.04.21

Yeah no quality on the ball again so far, sloppy and asleep.

Lots of good we did on the run is not happening.

Yates seems to struggle to get involved.

Too much long ball at times or when we do pass it we work it around then long and waste it or no final product.

When you get in the final 3rd you have to do something with it.

Decent Shrewsbury team according to Brett 😀Teenagers making their debuts, Lower third of the table, manager not there! Yeah really decent. Forever making excuses to how nondescript and powder puff we are.

Embleton, no width, always coming inside. Just pointless in that position. Way off the pace again.

We’d be a different proposition with Mitchell and Gabriel on that side.
Agree, Embleton just not up to pace. When things are not going well at least pace and aggression can make things happen.

It's like the thought of the play offs has knocked all confidence out of them, it's like they're playing by the corner flag for 90 minutes trying to see it through into the play offs.

We look lacklustre, wheres the urgency and determination to get in those playoffs.

We look average league 1 dross at the moment.

No quality at all.

Dougall doesn’t put it over the top when it’s on, but nobody comes short to support him either you can just see where the move is going to die every time

Has anyone else noticed how many times we shoot and it hits their defender, sometimes you have to feint to shoot but too many times we blast it at people.

Also wtf is going on with the first touches, look clueless.

They need to get a grip.

What little we've done creatively has come from Kaikai. If they close him off in the second half I can't see where it's coming from at the moment. Embleton has to come off at half time.
