Blackpool v Shrewsbury Town Official Matchday Thread 24.04.21

We look awful, we have no one on the bench to change things, it's been really poor and they seem to be choking.
At least two could change things - Mitchell and Holmes for Embleton and Simms or Ward. Wasting the opportunity to give them time to make a difference though.

Just give the kid a run out, what’s the worst that could happen

I'm afraid we have absolutely no idea how to break down a tight defence from average teams who are content to pick up a point.
We have a total lack of creative quality coming from the centre of midfield, and it really shows. It's been our achilles heel all season long and will prevent us from getting a top six place if we can't find a solution. I've seen nothing today to suggest we have.

Ward and Dougall are so lethargic. It’s been a problem all season not having a midfielder who drives forwards. It means we pass out wide, then back and eventually to centre backs. Desperately in need of a centre mid who is happy on the ball in all areas of the pitch

This is absolutely dire.

FFS we get ourselves into an amazing position after a terrible start to the season and now just look awful.

Time for Critch and the players to show what they are made of.

NC has got these last 2 games so wrong with his set up & selections. So frustrating, if we can see before the game about Embleton......

Just like the other night Embleton plays shit, gets moved inside. You put Kaikai in there and leave Simms on.

Cant get my head around how appalling we have been today. And this Shrewsbury side are gash.
