Bristol Rovers v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 20.01.23

Just had 5 live on and Chappers and Dean Ashton reckon we are a good team who should be there or there abouts at the end of the season. Both saying that Dembele must be one of not the best player in League 1. Nice to hear a decent conversation on national radio being positive about us.
We’ve actually had quite a few pundits say similar all season but have constantly flattered to deceive.

I wonder if it would be worth putting Virtue on for Dembele second half, tighten up midfield a bit and push Morgan a bit further forward?\

Joseph looks like he’s finding his sharpness now

O Donnell made two or three important saves

CJ looking good going forwards and tracking back helping out defensively

Casey defending solidly

The tempo and intensity is so much better.Pressing them into mistakes

you saw at home that they are a decent team. We don't look that solid defending so we have to be alert. I hope we don't go into our shell and defend deep otherwise it will cost us.

Great start but in the end lucky to be still winning. Defence looks shaky as per usual but that's more the formation that individual errors. We never end the game well so that will need to change.

Joseph looks better with confidence. Impressive. Eggplant worries me at the back. Doesn’t get tight enough for the goal and the other chance they had. Need a spell of possession to reset the match, they’re on the up
