Stop making things up
I have said asking Andy to accompany him likely came from their links to the AC rather than Andy being BST chair

It’s not odd when the person who invited him isn’t on here and he is the only one who knows why he issued the invite

You said that Andy might have been invited as he was Raggy’s business partner. I have made absolutely nothing up read back for clarification,

So I said well was Raggy there as a business man and if not what the hell has his business partner got to do with getting an invite ?

I’m explaining the options behind Andy’s invite not Raggy’s
They run the Armfield together
eg I doubt if say Steve R was BST chair that he’d have been asked to accompany
 
Id settle for a well run club. We have no god given right to be instantly promoted, possibly one of the favourites. IT really hinges on who we keep. Jerry is a must. Any promotion winning side MUST have a proven striker. Our massive undoing in my opinion, was not replacing Keogh. Yes there were many mistakes but Keogh going was a massive clanger.

I've already stated the answer Lala in an earlier post. Do you consider me a dishonest person based on our dialogue on here? I certainly respect your views and word. To put it simply, Andy is Raggy's friend and knows him well. Is it beyond comprehension to think that Brett might have thought that would be a helpful thing to have around, In a personal capacity.

I totally accepted that Mark, yep, I do think you are honest 👍yep, I think the invite on a personal level makes the most sense 👍

I jumped in at the business remark because that makes it sound like a business meeting and that’s just a silly addition to the thread if you ask me.
 
we're all hurting at the moment which does explain some of the blood-letting on here. now is not the time to turn in, and on, ourselves. whether you abide with BST, MSG, the Knights, all 3, or whomever, we need to remember what united us in the past, deal with our reality, and forge a new path, together, stronger.

i agree with the sentiment of the BST statement, which on the whole was considered and to the point. i do appreciate that legitimate questions should be asked of, and answered by BST, but, unfortunately, this, like other threads, can get blown off-course by mischief-makers and agenda-driven negative types.

and for those of you that haven't read 'tinker tailor...', it's highly recommended, as is much of le carre's best work. best to read between the lines. he would have a field day with names like tom trybull and charlie patino.

Best post I've read all day. Which has been a long one, considering it's supposed to have been a relaxing day off seeing my youngest daughter who's been through the wringer lately for the first time in months. She's doing fine and that puts all this right into perspective 👍

really sorry to hear about your daughter's struggles and glad to hear she is well. it's a cliche, we know, but perspective is everything.

god knows i'm an objectionable sort who believes power should always be held to account, but when it comes to my beloved BFC, my town and our community, i will always strive to bring us all together. BST helps with that and that's why i'm a proud member and i support that statement.

phil, i was just using the Knights as an example as to how we can be fervent in our support of different groups to achieve a common goal - we have proved that in our past and we have a fantastic fan base who are exemplars to other clubs' fans who are going through the nightmares we experienced.

we need to remind ourselves that we have a lot to be proud of, keep working hard with, and for each other, and, as supportive fans we should be passionate but rational too.

a plea for solidarity. is that too much to ask? 🍊

Well what about the thread called “What’s the point of BST?” started on 7 April by Coolhandluke? Easily found with the search function.

Interestingly the poster was apparently a newly registered user name. So someone who went to the trouble of creating a new identity just to cause a bit of mischief.
