Bye Bye MM.

Completely and utterly useless.

Thank fuck that’s over.
He was but he was also up against it, didn't help himself though at times.

I quite liked his character, in a way it wasn't his fault he got brought in knowing what he tries to do. That's on the board.

When his name was first mentioned I didn't know how it would work.

He was never going to come in and change what he's always done and that should have been known.

If you don’t change to adapt what you’ve got then you are a proper shit manager.

The modem manager needs to have different options and styles.

Yep but he's obviously not a modern manager, although he did at times play some attacking players but it's not his way so he's not really the man for that.

He was never going to adapt well to a different style after his whole career sticking with what he knew.

That was obvious from day 1.

Too late getting rid of Appleton, too late getting rid of McCarthy - rather than Bullshit Ben we should change his name to Bungling Ben!
It does not matter who the manager is, we are bound to struggle with the squad available for the Cardiff game. All the strikers out injured, three centre halves injured, hence our lack of height at the back and three experienced central midfielders missing since I do not know when. I certainly wouldn't be thanking anyone for handing me the job, more like the poisoned chalice!

When the players indicated they were confused about playing style there was only one way this was going

The loss yesterday and toxicity toward the dug out was the final straw

Football has moved on in the last 10 years and sadly Mick hasn’t .

That combined with his inability to make the players feel 10 feet tall and believe in themselves meant we were never going to get results

So he’s shit then 👍🏼

Mick has done the decent thing in leaving by mutual agreement - he deserve a little respect for that.
He's left respectfully, thanking the club & the fans & wished us the best - unlike Critchley, who on another thread some now want back.
Thanks for your efforts Mick, you tried but it didn't work & good health for the future.
BM should be the next to go.
Without a restructure, new head of recruitment, clearout of players & a commitment to spend money, a new manager will achieve the same as Mick ...... nothing.

As soon as Mansford allowed Raggy to talk with the players he was gone, there are obviously big problems within the squad and

perhaps yesterday he was forced to play certain players that don't perform in training. At the end of the day MM inherited the squad

and had no time to evaluate and bring players in when he joined. The change in management should have happened

during the world cup break.

His record suggests he's OK at what he does, with big players who we don’t have and in a past era. Football is different now.

He won't go down as a shit manager overall, although he didn't fit us at all.

All I'm saying is I quite like his character.

He should never have been appointed though.

I don't really blame him in a way, it seems he was appointed with little thought when it was known what he'd be like.

I was naive enough to think he would and when his third team selection was announced that was the point I knew we were doomed.
I also had to apologise to Phil of Wales for having a go at his scepticism prior to that.

This actually makes my 245 mile drive back home slightly more bearable. I couldn’t face returning for the Wigan game after yesterday’s performance but Dobbie’s appointment has given me some renewed optimism.
It’s a bit too late to maybe turn this season around given the games we have left, but if Stephen does manage it then it’ll be a bigger party than in May 2021 for sure !!!

That is where Applestrudle fucked up by not adapting from his beloved 4-3-3 when it was clear very early on it wasn't going to work.

Mutual agreement usually means there has been a financial settlement which is acceptable to both parties, I am sure Mick & TC will have been paid up to the end of this season, Mick will soon be on the golf course working on his handicap without a worry in the world, whereas BFC are left handicapped for the rest of this season at least. Dobbie has got nothing to lose, expectations are very low. However remembering Dobbie as a Blackpool player I am sure he will relish the opportunity and have a few surprises up his sleeve.

All my warnings to directors proved right.

Cannot accept the need for total change?

Your name should end WhiteFlag.
Fuck off again you weirdo. You never ever post when something positive happens. Where were you when we got promoted or even last season. You’re just a sad individual who sits in his pants all day waiting for misery to light up your sad life. When was the last time you attended a match???

When his name was mentioned I said please no, but after he was appointed we all seemed to get behind it and I presumed the board must have made the decision for a reason, spoken to him about how he'd fit our squad. He'd been out the game a while and maybe he's learnt something new. As it turns out not the case, but the board would have known that.

Paulco loves dropping a hand grenade in & then standing back to watch the outcome. He's a major wind up merchant.

The board must stay, they have an important job to do, sitting in the middle of the road staring at the headlights of the car that is trundling towards them.

I had high hopes for McCarthy in fact it was a bit of a wow signing for me but I didn’t realise what his philosophy truly was.I’d grown up watching bits and pieces of McCarthy teams but never knew just how defensive he was.A nice chap but in hindsight not a good fit for our club.We are an attacking club it’s in our DNA.

Did he ever have the players to do that, though?

It seems to me that the real problem this season has been that the club's got 3 holding midfielders who've played the equivalent of 4 games between them, which, with Connolly needed at RB, left him with Dougall as the only option for most of his time here.

Recruitment really has been a mess this season.
