Well done CJ, if there is one player I would love to see fulfil his potential it's CJ, I really hope he gets a chance this season
Play him on the left and let him get the ball in. It's so obvious.Well done CJ, if there is one player I would love to see fulfil his potential it's CJ, I really hope he gets a chance this season
I said CJ to you at HT even though it may have been in jest. As long as you play a ball for him to run onto he will beat most for pace. We’ll done CJ & the whole team including Appleton.Said he was still an asset and today showed what he can bring.
No one else can beat players with that pacw and no defenders can keep up with him.
He won't always get it right but a useful asset to have, especially now with Patino who will just ping a pass over the top for him.
Thats what you have to use him as, an in behind player. We never had anyone who could pick passes before really.
You accidentally called it.I said CJ to you at HT even though it may have been in jest. As long as you play a ball for him to run onto he will beat most for pace. We’ll done CJ & the whole team including Appleton.
He definitely has potential, he's another confidence player. He often looks scared on the ball and doesnt run at teams like he used to but I'm not surprised he's probably the most criticized player we have. With a few good performances under his belt and the supporters behind him he could be a completely different playerWhen we first got him he was amazing and we were talking about a player who was going to e worth millions. The bad injury he got really set him back, but you don't lose that potential, I'm glad we have him in our squad.
Nail on head Hetzke.Patino is the difference when he's on the pitch with CJ.
Charlie played to CJ's strengths today by sending him on runs into space, whereas the usual passes are into his feet which then ends up in CJ facing backwards with the ball - what a difference it made
A bit unfair to say he’s been ‘so poor recently’ when he’s only been on the pitch for 58 minutes in the league this season before today. He's been so poor recently, but their high line helped him in giving him the space to run behind them and for once he sized up the situation and put in a decent ball straight to Yates who finished with aplomb.
I've always thought him as a confidence player and hopefully that gives him some.
I saw 90 mins of him against Barrow.A bit unfair to say he’s been ‘so poor recently’ when he’s only been on the pitch for 58 minutes in the league this season before today.
An average of 1.2 assists per game will do for me .
Yep. It’s not rocket science. Pass it into a bit of space. He will beat most defenders in a sprint. Faced with a 50:50 challenge or urgent close control, he will invariably lose possession. His crossing is usually on the money. Pleased for him.Patino is the difference when he's on the pitch with CJ.

He was awful then, but clearly can at times add something.I saw 90 mins of him against Barrow.
Absolutely. I hope he turns out to be brilliant for us.He was awful then, but clearly can at times add something.
Let's face it, not a lot of good crossing happens and we're not usually clinical from the wings.
If CJ fits the game or circumstances he can add something no one else can. He can find good crosses, did the same vs Reading for Bowlers volley goal last season plus some others, set bez up in a friendly this pre season, a fantastic cross today.
Given some of the shite crosses we've seen, at times I'd rather see if he can do something. It won't always work but when does it.
We now have Patino who will put balls in behind for him and no one else is likely to get onto them or has the pace to.
It's an asset to have which we can use.
Another confidence player. What he does really well is he keeps his head up when looking for the cross rather than just banging it into an area. Hope he pushes on and repays Appleton's faith in him.Absolutely. I hope he turns out to be brilliant for us.
He's an outlet too, if team push too far up Patino can pop one over and he'll be in.Another confidence player. What he does really well is he keeps his head up when looking for the cross rather than just banging it into an area. Hope he pushes on and repays Appleton's faith in him.
Well yeah, another thing that improves over time.Could just be that Appleton has had plenty of time to look at the squad , assess their strengths and coach them , encourage them to play to those strengths .
Would-be refreshing to have a manager putting the square players in the square holes and the round ones in the round holes . The Pool revolution
Yep really bad, but CJ has just come on and the guy sticks with him at first then weirdly let's him go.
No he stayed on! He’s the captain amazinglyCan see why he was subbed from that.

Kabasele gave up. I've rarely seen anything like it. He was their captain as well. They might be in doo-doo.Really pleased for CJ although I have no idea what their full back was doing.
think it was because instead of running back to help out Sierralta just strolled back .Yep really bad, but CJ has just come on and the guy sticks with him at first then weirdly let's him go.
Maybe he was a bit tired and he knew CJ has the beating of him when he went past him so thought he couldn't catch him and gave up. You want your player sprinting there not casually jogging.
But who cares.
Miserable twuntcredit to him for his cameo appearance today. Did really well. But overall a long way off...
Think his pace took him by surprise
ah right, so how many games does he have to play before I'm allowed to say I don't really rate him? Just wondering! Some people seem to think every player is beyond criticism, And yep, you are one!Miserable twunt
