Crowd for Saturday

What we reckon? I see there’s 103 seats left in the north stand alone and at £30 a pop can’t see many Reading fans coming.

A disappointing 10,674

Think it'll be higher than that.

There's no way of calling how many will turn up, we don't know what impact the cost of living will have and our prices.

However, it was cat a last season for Cardiff, who are more of a pull given the playoff final, but 30 on the day for walk ons.

We've got rid of the walk on price so it's still 30 on the day meaning no penalty from the current price for coming on the day.

We're a late buying fanbase anyway and given the season doesn't really feel to me like it's starting, even though it is, it's early and many even now aren't really switched on yet.

I'm sure after tonight the club will start ramping up the messaging to buy.

Also with payday over the next few days and with no on the day rise now , it'll probably be a late takeup.

I'll go upper 11k maybe 12k.

It's school holidays and many people will be queueing up in airports or at Dover. Early season attendances are always lower than the rest, whatever team it is. Less than 11k.

First game of the new season, new manager, new players (yes we have 3 to date) I think it would be poor anything under 12k personally.

The club bemuses me at times. They’ve made zero effort to create a feel good factor this summer with regard to season tickets, zero promotion anywhere that it’s the first game of the season Saturday, close the ticket office 3 hours before games etc. Considering there’s supposed to be a few big hitters at the club in the back room staff they’ve done nothing to impress me.

I probably need to get my arse in gear as I haven't sorted the membership thing out or got a ticket yet. 40 quid to watch a patched up team come up against one managed by Paul Ince is the stuff that dreams are made of really.

They'll be a lot like that, the season seems to have crept up and maybe will be leaving it late.

1 seat left in the North in E block…never in doubt.
Plus we have tonight and tommorow, no price increase for paying on the day and walking up.

I expect that will mean more are likely later than usual, we are largely a late buying fanbase anyway, but now probably even later.

I think the lack of a promotion buzz and no real significant increase in the squad will mean we're down on last year's first home crowd.

11.393 v Cardiff last year and so I'd expect a bit less than that.

As long as the fans that are there get right behind the team it doesn,t really matter how many,#utmp

We've sold more ST than last season, and it's the first game of the season.

It'll be a 12.5k crowd minimum, possibly more.
