Dog walking clarity

Can anyone inform me whether walking my dog is allowed under the new restrictions? Asked plenty of people and got various replies, ranging from yes allowed to yes but only once as complying with one exercise a day. Just need clarity please.

Yes but once a day for exercise purposes only and with no more than one other person who must also live with you aswell and also be taking their daily exercise with you at the same time.

Yes you can take your dog for a walk once a day. We normally take our choc lab out three times a day. At least we have a big back garden

Got to take our dog too.

Have three choices. Stanley Park - which could be busy.
Round the De Vere which wont be busy but muddy and less passing places for distance.
Queens prom where plenty of room but have to drive to.

Will take mine out Bispham gala/playing fields- not too many others and wide open space so social distancing not an issue until your mental Jack Russell runs off to start barney with a Chow 3 times his size - will fo same again today but will remain on his lead

Our Jack Russell is just the same - no rhyme or reason to who he wants to pick a fight with. Generally he just wants to run up with them , growl and run away. Would say it's only with one in ten dogs he meets but it can be embarrassing when it's that one time.

Anyway just got to Kingscote Park where he had a good run and walk round with no problems. A few dog walkers out but not too many. Very quiet overall.

Just like his owner hey 20’s. 😉

Deveres wasn't too bad early this morning and people were abiding by the safe distance rule by stopping in imaginary lay-bys to let the other dog walkers past.

But the dogs weren't socially isolating and it was very muddy in parts! 😁

I really don't know why anyone has to head out to a park or somewhere like lytham green to walk their dog.
Surely just go round the block a few times, its still exercising!!

I think dogs prefer to shit on grass.
And if you live in highly residential built up areas you're more likely to keep bumpinginto/coming accross people. Kingscote Park wasvery quiet. A big area with no more than ten dog walkers all well apart. And where you can see people rather than turning a corner and bumping into some one

20's sounds like mine - hes only 14 month old Parsons type-90 % dogs fine and has never got into dust up with female dogs- loves being off lead and running about but it is embarrassing as he is fkn fearless and not intimidated by bigger dogs
No aggression at all in general
Interestingly met a guy last week with patterdale terrier dog and they were barking at each etc .
He said let them both off which we did after a few growls they were running about and playing

Stanley Park was surprisingly quiet yesterday and even quieter today.
Regular police patrols due to gangs of youths over the weekend.

Stick them in the back yard/garden if you have one,if not a brisk walk round the block. Some will ask if they can take their gold fish out. ffs

We have two dogs, with totally different needs. The spaniel needs as much as poss, so have taken him out this morning for a long walk. We live on the edge of the village, so have taken him out in the wilds, seeing no one. The Goldie is a bit arthritic and lazy, so the missus will take her when she gets back from work.

We don't have a garden

Still seeing the usual doggy walkers going along Blackpool Old Rd. Poulton to Cottam Hall park.
Been out twice on BJFF. Don't see a problem if you keep your distance. My dachshund goes for most dogs especially after a sip of San Miguel anyhow. Always keep to myself even in normal times.

Nazzer, agree. Dogs must be walked and I should think that most dog owners are being sensible about it.
Some terrific dogs walking past though.
And I don't mean the owners. 😜
