Already miles ahead of southern in terms of ability. Hopefully he matched up to gnashers determination too 👍
 
Possibly you are right about ability but southern put his foot in for a number of years, not knocking him though as i said my kind of player
 
Guy I work with is a manic Sunderland fan, travels to every home game, including night games from Blackpool. He can’t understand why they let him go
 
I watched on iplayer today ...... good picture no issues with buffering or broken connection etc .

I would like to suggest Ward was stand out today, now he’s recovered from injury and had a decent pre season he could be a big influence, the rest of the team played well and even Madine looked interested when he came on.

On the whole it was a good performance and to give credit where credit is due .... Swindon played their part in a good game.

Finally ....... it’s a good job goal posts are round !
 
I think some people are doing Southern a disservice tbh. You don't get to play in the Premier league, or get to the top six in the championship if your main holding midfielder can only "put his foot in". Keith Southern had plenty of ability and actually made some great forward runs and scored important goals for us.

Not wishing to do Robson down as he's been outstanding so far, but let's not compare to Southern just yet.

Southern has been there got the T shirt.....
Robson has been nowhere and got nothing
 
Love this stage of the season when we're starting to learn about players - only just now seeing what an asset to the team this lad is.
 
Robson was one of the stand out players in pre season, along with CJ and Anderson.

Others are settling in well now, Ekpiteta looks more at ease, Ward is improving each game, Mitchell has hit the ground running and Lubala I think showed some promise yesterday. Yates and Nottingham are both workers, not shirkers. I like Turton's temperament. Calming influence. And a glimmer of hope from Madine yesterday, would be like a new signing if he clicks.
 
I think it will have to be a Robson / Husband season. These guys get stuck in and will, therefore pick up injuries and cards. I'm comfortable with either (or both) in the team but I think it's going to be one or t'other.
