Exeter City away

Who’s going? Granted the club haven’t helped by not running a coach (why?!?) but I still think we’ll take a decent number after Saturday’s positive start. New ground for me. Cheaper to get a train back to Blackpool and go on a supporters coach than £110 return train from deepest, darkest Yorkshire

Travel advice leave earlier than you think
Took me three hours to get from Weston junction to Exeter on Saturday normally an hour max

I will be there, unfortunately I will miss Port Vale match as I will still be in Devon!

Booked in June with railcard
Those prices I linked show why the railways are in the shit - completely unaffordable. Been trying to get Charlton prices - that's 2 months away - nothing.

Can't book the boat trip until they're released as maybe too much.

Would love to be on this away trip, and ideally would have made a few days of it around Dawlish etc, but too much going on at the min to fit it in as well.

I see Demi Mitchell played as part of a front 3 for Exeter at the weekend , hope he doesn`t have too much of a point to prove .I think this game will be a lot sterner test compared to Burton.

The club should run coaches to every game and take the hit when they don't fill it and make on the local games exactly what BSA do so over a season they don't lose.

But whilst they have a BSA box on the ticket office counter taking money I suppose it's their get out of jail card.

I’ve emailed club as I feel they should be doing more to encourage people to travel especially families cheaper kids tickets, maybe have a Blackpool travel membership where you get cheap travel plus other perks. Like there is at other clubs
Last season didn’t have coach for a few games too.
I’m a bus driver and prefer not to drive but will be driving down quality father and son time to hopefully cheer another win🍊

I'm going to Lincoln away but would rather get the club coach if they put one on which should be the way to go to discourage car travel.

I wrote to the SLO in the 21/22 season when we played Coventry away mid week and the conditions were terrible for driving that night. There was 900+ fans but could have been more if the club put coaches on. My message was why aren’t the club doing more in promoting to get fans on coaches and keep cars off the word, never got a response surprisingly enough!

Is it just me who gets the spinning wheel of frustration after adding a ticket to my basket? “ redirecting to partner platform” 🤬

We have joined BSA this season purely to travel to away games. Its really poor from the club that they don't offer away travel.

How come we could manage a coach during the Oyston era but not now? Stoke offer free away coach travel and clubs like Fleetwood offer subsidised travel.

It's a poor do tbh, and something the SLO and BST should be hounding the club about, instead of the national governance issues they seem so pre occupied about.

Can’t agree more Briggs5. This could be a huge success for the club to demonstrate environmentally friendliness by putting a number of coaches on but they need to promote it and possibly subsidies it with the aim of keeping cars off the road and getting more fans to away games.

We as fans can also do our bit takes a few minutes let's bombard SLO and BST with emails about putting on coaches.'

Still leaves a bad taste how the club coach got cancelled Hartlepool away in the Fa Cup leaving those with tickets bought struggling for other methods when they should have put it on.

Advance tickets are issued around 6 weeks before day of travel.

Cannot see why the club won’t put on at least 1 coach for every game, if it doesn’t pay and losses money they can then turn around and say well we tried it. Fans at the games, less vehicles on the road, might even make a couple of 💶 all makes sense to me🤔

It needs more than that Dev as they do put a coach on to most away games but some have had to be canceled due to a lack of interest, and for those games beyond a certain distance possibly Birmingham they tend not to put coaches on at all. It needs a good commercial and promotional drive to generate the interest, it’s no good just sticking a final sentence on the club site when advertising away match tickets.

They need to put a coach on for the longer away games and subsidise them and publicise it and maybe The coaches would fill then.I’d be more interested in the long away trips if they were subsidised as not everyone can spend fortunes on travel to far away games as well as the match tickets and food/drink etc
