Rumours are Blackpool will be in tier 2. So the possibility of 2000 home fans attending the Pompey game is very real!

Id be surprised, its not really Blackpool but they will lump us in with Lancashire/Blackburn etc..

Lancashire leaders submit tier proposal to Government

Wednesday, November 25, 2020

Lancashire's leaders have submitted a proposal to the Government to divide the county into two different tiers when the current lockdown ends next week.

Following discussions this morning by council leaders from across the county, a request has been made for Hyndburn, Rossendale, Burnley, Pendle and Preston to go into Tier 3 restrictions.
It is then proposed that the rest of the county, Fylde, Wyre, Lancaster, Chorley, South Ribble, Ribble Valley and West Lancashire, would go into Tier 2.
The final decision on which tiers areas will go into is to be made by the Government, but it has been indicated they will take into account local requests from political leaders.
Shaun Turner, cabinet member for health and wellbeing at Lancashire County Council, said: "We hope that the Government will take into consideration our proposals for the tier system in Lancashire.
"This morning's meeting was very productive, and showed how united the county is in the face of this pandemic.
"We are seeing rates reduce across almost all parts of the county and that is down to the hard work and sacrifices of our residents. I can only thank everyone for playing their part.
"With lower rates we believe it is appropriate for some parts of the county to go into Tier 2, and hope it will be very soon before they are joined by the rest of the county.
"We can all still play our part in helping to reduce the spread and protect each other, and ensure the rate falls even further to allow us all into Tier 1.
"I would urge people to continue to follow the Hands Face Space guidance.
"People are also advised to stay at home and self-isolate if they’re showing symptoms, and please get tested so that we can help to reduce the spread."

Note to Editors
As unitary authorities Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool councils will make their own representations to Government.

Kent councillors have done the same thing. Some areas twice the national average, some half.
All in this together or every man for himself.

If Fylde and Wyre go into Tier 2 there is no reason why we won't too. Conversely, if they remain in Tier 3 then we will too.

Yeah, was thinking they could put the game back a day but there again why would Pompey agree to giving us an advantage by having fans there
Gutted! Still, will make it sweeter if/when we can go back.

Pompey is scheduled for the 1st December, lockdown doesn’t end until the 2nd.🤬🤬🤬🤬
There are reports that EFL are trying to make provision for clubs to reschedule to Wednesday 3rd December if they are able to allow some spectators in. There will of course need to be local safety officers to assess whether Covid precautions will be in place, so bit of a rush really.

Sorry foiled again, the 3rd of December is a Thursday.

Could it be the Fleetwood match?
I suppose in theory if they wanted to they could give us a couple of hundred of the 2k.

Our ground already has Covid precautions in place from the Swindon game but will probably need reassessing for the increase to 2k.

I understand it's still the intention to move games if clubs are in tier 2 or 1. If we're in 2 then I think 2k will be there next week.

Then we we all be arguing who out the 2000 gets to go hopefully non of the 1000 who got the golden ticket with having 4k ST holders.

There's only 3k to consider, and then with it being a night game some won't be able to make it. If it is possible we could have a process of those 3k emailing / contacting the club if you want to be considered. If demand exceeds 3k then draw out of hat.

Not that time consuming - couple of hrs work.

The only fair way for me is to ....

Allocate a ticket to anyone from the initial 1000 who returned theirs to the club for redistribution.

Then, the next lot of season ticket holders who purchased in order up to capacity.

FYI - I returned my tickets for the first game as I could not go, and will be returning them again if offered, so I have no vested interest in this.

That is a massive amount of work as you could be dealing with 3000 messages.

Much better to email out "you are "successful" and then wait for a couple of hundred returns and reallocate if needed.

It is. But fans will be allowed to be there. At least from the Cods anyway. I might try and sneak a ticket!
If they are allowed 2,000 fans in - then there should be at least 1,500 spare for the mighty after they have given 350 away and the 150 die hards have bought theirs.

Think you're over estimating - either way it's not difficult.

It would cost the club to do that- extra stewards, maybe police too.
It was the EFL that suggested this last week so Pompey may not have a choice. Bottom line is the fans are the customers and for once it's good that the EFL recognise that fact.
