I wouldn't say that fans are entitled, but I do think that many have unreal expectations. I actually think that Critchley has done well to get the current squad to the position it is in the table, notwithstanding the "boring" football according to some. On relegation, we lost Yates, Anderson, Rogers, Patino, Bowler to name but a few. Of the incomers, Rhodes started like a house on fire, Pennington is a plus, Morgan has improved, Dembele can be brilliant but is mercurial, and, since January, Byers and Coulson have been OK. Promotion material? I don't think so. I, for one, do not think it has been a bad season overall and I see it as a transitional season. The recuitment has to be better in the summer, that's for sure, if we are to mount a serious challenge for promotion. But it won't be easy; we are in no way entitled to be a championship side and with our low fanbase, will always find it hard to compete at that level. So, entitled, no; but I think a lot of the ill feeling towards the manger on here comes from those who never wanted him back in the first place and are not prepared to give him the time to put his "project" in place.
