Sounds like they're being greedy to me.

Unless I'm reading it wrong it'll be £15 a game next season, or £230 for the full season.

Can't see many wanting to do the full season but from my one visit it was priced right at a ST upgrade price of a tenner.

All about the exclusive experience, exclusive toilets 😬, hot snack and exclusive bar.

Hope people do it, as may try some form of hospitality at some point but not really for me.

But yeah seems a bit much for what it is.

Its a very nice lounge. I agree with BFC X 3 on this. Facilities at football stadia all around the country are fairly primitive unless you go hospitality.

This is a serious upgrade to the normal matchday experience.

Plus its lovely and warm.

15 quid on top of the 30 quid....
Well it depends…

If you are a one game wonder, who decides to come to a non-promoted game and spend the day in the Heineken Bar, then yes 👍

If you’re a ST holder then it’s £15 on top of your £16 per game or better still only £10 per game if you really love Heineken so much you commit to a full season in the bar.👍

Just imagine the fun you could have sat in there with Halifax and Phil, moaning about the price of fish 👍

23 x 10 is ?????????
Don't get your point.

Anyhow. I sit it the south and thought when they opened it that it was a great idea. Anything to get a slice of the match day revenue pie.

I used it against Derby, thought it was good value and i was expecting maybe other free spaces to be used for similar initiatives - no idea what's at the back of the north.

Others will say it's just a fiver. Personal opinion , at £15 it's now top end value wise. It'll still be used no doubt.

The Club are looking to offer a lower priced ‘corporate type’ package for fans to take advantage of, but it’s a commercial enterprise, not a charitable one. When compared to other Clubs and this kind of corporate package in general, it’s competitively priced and like anything it will survive or fail based upon demand.

This whole whining on about every single price o here is starting to become tedious.

If you’re looking for cheap beer, then Wetherspoons on the front will sell you a pint of nearly out of date ale for less than £2. If you need a cheap meal, then get yourself to the all you can eat Chinese Buffet and spend the day in there.

Nobody is forcing you to use these facilities if you can’t afford it or feel it’s too expensive…,that’s unfortunate / up to you….👍

I'm not a big hospitality lover, but I may try some upgrade in some form at some point.

Tbh the south needs the vocal support 😬

I was hoping they would combine this with M block seats as a permanent move to the South doesn't really appeal

Might do a few games

We went up for the Derby Game. At £10 for the upgrade its very good value to be able to guarantee you beers before the game and at half time - as, let's face it, unless you leave the first half 10 minutes early, you aren't getting one at half time. The food is OK - chicken burger and chips and a salad and then it was £2 (maybe £2.50) a bottle for Moretti which is fine really. I can see why people like it but sitting in the south killed it for me - as was surrounded by Derby fans and home fans that don't sing.

What I like about it is that you get to be in a bar overlooking the pitch 2 hours before you see what's going on pre match etc.
There was also a speaker on getting you in the mood.

The chicken burger from recollection was very nice that being said I'd had a few ales before we went in so my judgement may have been slightly impaired.

It is a decent matchday day experience halfway between normal and full hospitality . I think its worth it. I'm seriously considering getting the full season ticket its just whether i want to commit to the south for the full term.

Yeah, its the being in the South that is the only issue for me! If there was an similar experience in the North, i think it would be full every week!

What? There's a much better, cheaper experience within spitting distance?! Cheers!

... just as long as it doesn't catch on with the corporate types. 😉

Too much, £549
So bearing in mind that it costs £180 less to sit in the North, they could hardly offer a Season Ticket Upgrade for the Heineken Experience, plus a Seat in M Block at a price of £230, could they.... They'd have to make the thing a whole lot more expensive if offering an upgrade to a Premium Seat, which kind of defeats the object.

Incidentally, if you already sit in M Block, I doubt there would be anything stopping you from using the Heineken Facility and still sitting in your existing seats, it's only a short walk away. 👍

I’m not sure it works BFC x3 . Going into the Heineken lounge and then walking half way around the ground to get to your seat

It's probably not much different to get to M Block as it is to get to Block X in the South, I'd have thought. I think I'd do that if I had a ST in Block M, as I don't, I'm fine with sitting in the South and wouldn't want to trek over there or pay extra to sit in that spot.... In all honesty, I prefer watching the game head on, rather than from the side in any case.👍

Is there any decent beer in the Heineken Experience? Beer that's just made in a normal way? Or is it an entirely modern industrial beer phenomenon, beer engineered out of corn syrup and a dash of hop extract? Marketed at modern corporate types who have been persuaded it is better, and who like paying more for less? All served in an airport lounge style setting?

Asking for a mate. 🤠

It's just beer and a laugh with your mates, I'm not sure anyone takes it particularly seriously.... We had some kind of bottled lager last time... It got you pissed 👍

Seems decent value and it includes some food for the price.
Bit like doing VIP at a concert or festival and you pay a lot more than £15.

The flyer says you have to move to the South to use
Maybe a missed opportunity but the flip side is see you replicating the 1953 ticket

I Have an intense aversion to all things corporate. It’s everything I hate about modern football. I’m still annoyed about season ticket holders being ousted from M block. And my experience of Heineken is not one that I’d consider to be an attraction.

However if people do like any of the above and are willing to pay extra for a few experiences then that’s extra cash to the club and they are making it very clear they are running it as a business making its own way in the world aside from capital expenditure projects.

I sit in front of it. It looks through the window like a gathering of sales reps in a conference room at a chain hotel with a golf course.

Bizarre.

When I'm charge of the FA, hospitality will be Bovril from a hut situated either on the part of the terrace where there is no roof, at back of a stand in a hatch that it's virtually impossible to get to or behind the stand but down a lethal muddy track.

Any clubs found offering soft seating, heating, canopes or the like will be subject to points deductions*

*Actual directors of clubs will be permitted a pie and pea meal in the boardroom only. Clubs will be permitted to employ one old dear with a tea trolley to service this.

When a hedge fund capitalist bought the club I should have known what to expect. The highest ticket prices in the division, airport lounges and shit beer.

Come back Karl, all is forgiven.* 😮

* Not really.

Going corporate in the old west stand at half time under Owen all you got were triangular cut sandwiches on morning pride white bread filled with egg and cress. Old school!

Once you get into the Seat Upgrade territory (I.e. essentially adding another £15 on top of the Heineken price as is) I think it defeats the object of an affordable and more accessible option.

As you say, other corporate options exist if you prefer and can afford to sit in premium seats.

In fairness, the atmosphere in the South could do with a boost and so 180 ‘Heineken Fuelled’ supporters is a great idea….

You only have to look at the difference in goal celebrations from the north and south on Lee's videos or whatever.

The north is 'absolute scenes', 'limbs' as they say.

The south is more hands raised in th air, clapping.

Could do with putting a couple of free pints under every seat. 😆

This is also why IMO if were going to grow the ganbase it has to be in the NE, as the atmosphere in the north is where a lot of new fans are drawn to.

The trouble is we've now got corporate lager louts at one end, Muckers at the other, and away fans down one side. And chunks of the west for family and tartan blanket people with big pensions.

Where do the normal everyday home fans sit? 🤠

What’s a ‘normal everyday fan’ ?

I went in last season for the Reading at home game with 10 pals of mine. All in all, it was a great day. Good price, good beer & had a chat with BG after the game. My ticket was changed from the North to the South for that game, which wasn’t an issue. Just seems weird you can know only go in the lounge if you’re located in the south for the season?

Do they have a plan to do something similar in the North? I know there’s no way near the room but it’d be great to have a Heineken lounge either side of the halfway line, IMO.

Sorry, I forgot if you sit in the north you have 3 heads. I take it if you sit in the north, you don’t go to work, you eat the bark off tree’s for your evening meal & drink frogs blood as a refreshing drink making you not an “everyday home fan?”
