In Norway right now berthed at Savanga

In Norway right now berthed at Savanga
I'm guessing that's Stavanger.
Was dry docked there for a couple of months around late 83.
Had some good times there, and with about 5hrs daylight a day woke up at half 5 still pitch black, and walked outvoted get a taxi back to the vessel as I started work at 0600.
Turned out it was half 5 at night and my shift was coming to an end...

Doing our first villa holiday in Mojacar, Spain early August. Will miss the first 2 Saturdays of the season.
Son and grandson coming and daughter flying back from OZ to come along too.

Maybe we can meet for drinks if you fancy it . we are in Vera Playa 5 mins from Mojacar.
Good to hear family gonna be with you whatever enjoy 👍.

Did Gambia in February, too many hassles, Barbados last month ,our annual break in our favourite place, La Pineda this Saturday for a week, a lovely small family resort just south of Tarragona with our Daughter & her Husband and our gorgeous 5year old granddaughter, can’t wait to burble bubble in the swimming pool with her!
Loved Pineda. Used to fly there directly from Squires Gate with Ryannair and stayed at a Dutch all-inclusive hotel which was great value. Probably did this 5 or 6 times until the airport introduced the £10pp flight charge and Ryannair pulled out - was gutted. The beaches there were spotless and you had access to Barcelona in the North and the Costas in the South on the coastal railway. Happy dayz............... ⛱️ ;)

Just done 3 nights in Magaluf with the boys. What a cracking place it still is.
8th time I have been.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Magaluf?

Got a week in Ibiza - Santa Eulalia with the mrs on 30 June. Will be going to San Antonio for one or two of the nights.

Benidorm for a stag do on 14 September for 3 nights. Hoping we have a crappier game against someone like Cambridge that weekend.

Unfortunately had to cancel our big family holiday to Kos due to my 19 year old daughter being diagnosed with cancer in February, and still currently on chemotherapy treatment every fortnight 😢

We’ve rebooked the family holiday for August next year 🤞🤞
Just seen this mate. Hope everything is on the up.

Wishing you all the best.

Cruise from Barcelona on Sunday. City break in September (not sure where yet) and back to ole Tenerife Christmas time.

Best of luck to her and you all, hope she kicks cancer squarely where it deserves.

For me, its Isle of Man in August, my spiritual home 🇮🇲

Love the Isle of Man and we go most years, usually in August too! We get the ferry over and stop in different resorts over 4 nights.. Stunning in nice weather and the coastal walks are great.

Yes it’s just a wonderful place for me. The kids love it too, all castles, Vikings, sandy beaches and fun! I’m hoping to go over on the new ferry if it’s in service by then. I’ve been following its journey from South Korea at the moment cos I’m a geek, currently approaching the Suez Canal 🤣

Currently enjoying the Ibiza sunshine waiting to don the retro Bass shirt when appropriate! Just back from a swim in Portinatx bay before breakfast! I’d give everything up for this lifestyle, bloody amazing!
Parky we love Portinatx..went for 20ish years while family grew up….we always stayed at Es Puet Blanc appts at the small beach…stunning cove…..we will go back soon I think..great memories.

It’s beautiful. I’ve attached a pic of the bay from poolside at Hotel Barceló if it loads! A tad cloudy today (Day 2/10) but jazz by the pool with a Heineken is a million miles away from Cheltenham at home on a cold December night! 🤣 👍🏻

Heading to Florida next week with the kids - 4th time - they are now teenagers and saddens me to think it'll probably be the last time they want to go with us 😕

Going to the island on Saturday for a week from Heysham . I think the new ferry has been abducted by pirates in the Indian Ocean [only kidding ! ].Also my spiritual home. Went to Laxey school for a short
time years ago.

was supposed to be going to Edinburgh on friday for a week but had to cancel. Now doing 5 days in the Lakes based at Cockermouth.

Off to Sitges for 2 weeks .. apparently the gay capital of the Med Coast .. least the wife won't get jealous if I get a few wandering eyes 😁

I never seem to get anywhere but reading all the above makes me want to change all that.

Some very interesting trips in store for everyone, enjoy.

Morocco (Agadir) in September
Places to go would be appreciated
Cheers
Bridgend, I was in Agadir last year. Strange place. The centre is dry, no alcohol and Berber speaking. The area by the sea is like a parallel universe, you can get beer etc (expensive compared to Portugal, where I live), but I personally thought it ( the beach/ sea) area, a bit tacky but that's just my personal opinion. The airport is, or seemed to be, a long way from the city. But, all the same, an interesting mix! Hope you enjoy it!

No point taking swimwear - most of the beaches are nudist beaches - and there is a lot of cock on show 😲
We took the family there for a day whilst staying in Barcelona and it was like a free biology lesson!

Thank you for the information
We will let you know how we found it when get back

If you haven't been before, go to Vatersay from Barra. Two stunning beaches, and if you fancy a bite, lovely community cafe between the two. See thread on your happy place, Vatersay is one of mine.

And look out for ticks on the Uists and Benbecula

Many thanks for the tip. Unfortunately we ran short of time and couldn’t get booked on the ferry to Barra and Vatersay.
What fabulous landscapes on the Uists though, especially in that brilliant weather last week! Very underated, and no ticks.
The East beach on Vatersay must be pretty special to beat the West beach on Berneray though!

Got two weeks in the Luberon in France coming up from August 7th - although have told the Missus that if we have a decent home game then we'll travel down after the game! We can't get in until 1pm anyway and so might as well spend a bit more time on the Gold Coast!

At Brum airport now on way to Cancun - just a week for a friend's wedding.

Family holiday to Tuscany in August - hired a house near Lucca.
