That Donny game still makes me shudder. What a terrible day.another oft discussed topic. Wasn't at that QPR game but Wembley against Cardiff was excruciaatingly hot as well as Donny away first game of season under Hendry.
Again, black kit. This was the season after that QPR game if memory serves me well? I also went to that, scorcher! That Donny game still makes me shudder. What a terrible day.
So lucky we were in the shade. Really felt for all those in the sun.2010 Play of final. Still feel hot thinking about it.
Moved the kick off time too with the hope the temperature would dropSalford for me as well in preseason last year, was that ridiculous heat wave with a weather warning not to go out that day. The game was a night kick off and it was sweltering.
Probably wasn't wise going on the lash all day.
That was the temp gauge in direct sunlight though wasnt it... the air temp wasn't.Officially the 2010 play off final was 103 degrees. I'm not sure there have been many hotter in this country.
Must have been an unusually hot April 10th 2011.I’m trying to think of a game at home where it was boiling.
Arsenal in the prem springs to mind.
Was sat in the first row of the East. Had to put a t shirt on my head as some kind of makeshift turban to stop the sweat rolling into my eyes. My Arsenal supporting mate saw me on telly and text ‘nice head gear’.
I feel like our freak heat waves, if there are any that year, usually come to the Fylde in unexpected months.Must have been an unusually hot April 10th 2011.
I went to that. My mate had a bald head and didn't wear a hat, next day he pulled the flaking skin off his head like a skull cap.England v Tunisia in Marseilles in 1998. 2:30 kick-off, no stadium roof and the sun beating down. I was puzzled why the locals all seemed to be taking newspapers in with them but when I later saw them all wearing them on their heads I wished I had taken one.
You in the Cardiff end ?So lucky we were in the shade. Really felt for all those in the sun.
I was in the shade too. Just short of the half way line. No sun in there the whole game. You in the Cardiff end ?
Ouch, sounds horrible. I had recently gone for a skinhead and wasn’t used to having to wear a hat so didn’t take one. I had to decide whether to let my head burn or use my t-shirt as a hat and let my arms burn instead. I chose the latter.I went to that. My mate had a bald head and didn't wear a hat, next day he pulled the flaking skin off his head like a skull cap.
Swansea at home last season I would say.I’m trying to think of a game at home where it was boiling.

It was. I ran the Brighton marathon the same day!Must have been an unusually hot April 10th 2011.
We went by train which was restricted to 40mph on the way back as there was a risk of the rails buckling.Echo QPR away, when we got hammered. Was it 5-0? Played in black. I went by coach that had no air con and believe it or not, no curtains! Horrible day!
Cardiff in the play off final, as again already mentioned.
