How are the Forest ticket sales going

SO will it be a simliar turn out for the bristol motors game v bolton. another cheap ticket possibly. for me personally i have to watch the pennies . if i can get to see my team live in a cup rather than a league game then so be it.

The games on live on ITV so that's my saving grace.

You can't get Radio Lancs outside of Lancashire on digital radio, I've never understood why that is, you think you'd be able to tune into any digital station you wanted to.

TTV do the radio comms for next to nothing for the season and away and midweek games and then there are obviously other ways to watch the game too. When I lived in St Annes and then Blackpool I never ever missed a home game or hardly any away games for years, If we move back in the next couple of years, which is a distinct possibility, then I will go to every home game including friendlies and a lot more away games as I can go on a coach.
I think the rules for radio commentary are different for the FA Cup. I was able to listen to Radio Lancs in London on digital radio for the game at Forest.

the whole radio thing is mad. listening to Man utd v Tottenham on the World service on my smart phone. Radio Five live is not available on digital. but then the commentator says bbc five live and the World service.

Is it not about supporting our team?

Too many people making up excuses. It's FIFTEEN QUID. 3 PINTS, 3 COSTAS, 2 PIE CHIPS AND GRAVY FFS.
Of course but you know how it works in relation to a big draw.

This doesn't hit the mark on a few factors. Good price though.

However I still think it'll be well enough attended considering we've played them loads recently, weeknight on TV etc.

At £15 we should be able to get a decent gate but as I said, encourage mates and family members.
My sister in law who's skint spends £15 at bingo once a week FFS and people are moaning at spending a few quid supporting THEIR team.....is this what we protested and boycotted for ???? This club has some absolutely chite fans.......why is it people from Blackpool always expect something for nothing? Cheapskates.

The forecast isn't that bad, it's far colder down here.

It's a perfect night for a game, cold, clear, no rain, I really hope the supporters who live locally turn out for this. I realise this is coming from someone who won't be there but a 500 mile round trip at my age is not happening. But if I was living locally I would be there.

It's an FA cup replay against an EPL team with the prize of another EPL side in the 4th round and people were moaning about that draw too! Lots of moaning about a comfortable 2-0 home win yesterday, and also grumbling about going to the cup game against Bolton, when both Forest and Bolton will sell their allocation of tickets. what is wrong with our supporters? I can understand this who go to the away games moaning, they have reason too, we have been shite and yet people het pelters on here for moaning about that.
Miserable set of twats. Those there will give plenty of support. The same people moaning will be the ones saying there's no investment in this window.

They want a Premier League squad without them having to put anything in, despite it being £15 a ticket.

5 live on my digital radio and on smart phone via BBC sounds app

Why criticise the club......it's always the clubs fault isn't it?

How about us supporters get a grip of things, get a mate to go, try to shame a lapsed fan into going!
For my part I've bought my son a ticket and we're going together. Despite him being Pool through and through he's not engaging this season for some reason.
If I can't attend I let him use my ST.
We'll be standing together in the North on Wednesday. Can't wait 👍
It’s a case of both surely?

I’ve convinced 2 others to go who don’t go every week, so as much as it’s up to us to spread some word of mouth, the club should really try and put it out there, get some posters out on the streets or leaflets.

These games should be a big opportunity to get floating fans in, they’ll be more likely to come to this than Exeter at home (with all due respect)

TV for us. Bit late for little one on a school night.

Think it shows the general disconnect with the fanbase now not counting season ticket holders.

We're in League 1, it’s Jan, we've got a lot of games in this month with the league and cups.

We're getting maybe 9.5k home fans on average in the league, theres always less there on weeknights, as many exiles don't come and those aren't on TV.

Not sure why some think all the casuals etc would all rush out for Nottingham Forest, not one of the big established exciting prem sides, who we've played in the same competition last season. Some will but it's not a game that will get more than a league game home fan wise IMO.

It'll still be a decent attendance and will be more home fans than we had in the championship at the same stage for the same fixture last season I reckon.

Plenty of time to go.

We bought the same seats as our ST's in the South, but the more I read this thread the more concerned I become about a small home crowd.
I'm hoping for a great atmosphere, TV or not.
It's a first (hopefully not last) chance to watch a higher quality game v PL opposition, than we watch for 23 L1 fixtures, and for £15.
No brainer isn't it?

The exiles I stand/sit with aren't able to make it, but that's understandable.
I'm not expecting a full house by any means, but I hope @JJpool is right (post #69) in his last 2 paragraphs.

Personal choices Insider, lots I know aren’t bothering. What finally finished me off was the FA announcement that if we win we have to play the next round either at Bristol or in London on a Fcuking Friday night…… that’s absolute bollux 🙄
We get plenty of sh1t annoucements from the EFL and the FA. Thats why you, I and many others put all that effort in to try and change them.
So lets take it out now on all the staff and players at BFC who are the real ones that have to suffer if we dont support them on the pitch.

Nobody suffers mate, people can’t be bothered with this cup, that’s just the way it is

If they bring 4,000 and we don’t sell 10,000 then yes not good at all
They haven't sold out yet, anyone can buy the tickets I think. Its not previous purchase history on our side so maybe its not looking likely.

Each to their own, but I'm looking forward to this more than any other game we've played at home this season.

And at least there'll be a charged atmosphere for a change.
so am i . like i said previously my son finds it easier to do midweek games than Saturday. As soon as he has parked up. Game time head comes on. Its knockout football. And actually we DO seem to perform when there is something on it. league is ok but Steven loves floodlit games.

I got shot down for saying it will be a low turnout. Really don't know why people thought it would sell well.
Course it won't be a sell out.
Burton was a pitiful turn out.
Exeter was a pitiful turn out.
Forest will be the same with or without TV.
Now if it was Man C/ Man U /Liverpool etc seats would have been sold in seconds.

You’re possibly right but it’s not it’s Forest and the reward is an uninspiring trip to either Bristol or London on a Friday night 👎

my son was talking about Bristol City. must be about twenty years ago. opening game at Ashton Gate. Arrived late because they had a balloon festival which was a great sight. but it was baking hot and i think it would have Colin Hendry in charge. I know we were two down pretty early on. And a long way home on the BSA coach.

Not heard about that. 😲

It's on TV, it's midweek, it's January, it'll be really cold, I'll have been outdoors all day...........definitely not going to be there.

The south is always half empty anyway... 😬 It looked very sparse last year in the Forest game.

There was probably a bit less than 5k home fans last season... that was a Saturday too. It wasn't well attended but it was depressing season and many were downbeat.

So it wouldn't be anything groundbreaking to beat. But given the novelty factor is gone given its the same as last year and weve played them this, a weeknight and live on TV, plus we're in a league lower now...

Still hopeful we beat it.

Turn it off and on again.
Doesn't really work like that unfortunately do some research.
It prevents the pitch getting frozen especially through the night you can't switch it on a few hours before the game like your central heating and expect it to thaw!

I was joking. No need te research as I've no interest in us getting it. Not needed. There's probably 6 weeks a year where a handful of home games might be under threat. We've shown the pitch was ok in the last freeze with proper covers etc. It takes more than just one cold bight it needs a sustained period.

Need to use the odd emoji when joking.😉😘

Bolton will be the even worse. Not sure why people think the crowd will turn up for that. If they don't turn up v Forest, there is no chance they will turn up for Bolton in a Mickey Mouse cup. 3k home fans for the Bolton match at best.

I think that's a bit more interesting, it's a meaningful derby in a competition we can actually win in a couple of games after.
Can't see it. The FA Cup (despite its fall from grace) is still considered a far more important competition than the Bristol Motors Trophy. The fact it's Bolton will only make a difference to a minority.

It is but we've zero chance of winning it or going to Wembley.

Bolton is a bigger game than Forest for us, even if it was the 1st time playing Forest in years, which it isn't. The competition isn't popular yes which doesn't help, but if we win we're 1 game from Wembley is it? Should be more marketable. It's also later in the month after many paydays I think and we've had a lot of home games this month, a known skint month.

It's hard to predict demand here as it's relatively unknown.

I think it's very predictable. 90% of Blackpool fans will see Forest as a much bigger game and the demand for that isn't looking at strong as some predicted.

I fully respect that there is a certain age group that hate Bolton but in my opinion the majority will just see it as another shitty game in a shitty competition.
