Josh Bowler apologising on Twitter

It’s refreshing and positive that he’s tweeted that.

He didn’t look himself, but we all have bad days at work. It will be distracting what’s going on re his future, but for me, his best approach for his long-term career is to stay this season and become a £10m player. He won’t improve sitting on a bench somewhere else this season.

There is no other player at any English level that can do what he does. I’d love to see him ripping defences apart in the PL, but I don’t want him wasting a great opportunity by moving to another Championship team this season.
 
No need to apologise, but at least shows some self awareness.
Thought he was decent today, always looked dangerous. Just final product missing….

I dont think he's the best player in the league, but when he's on it he can do stuff no one else can do, he regularly beats 2, now at times 3 players and weaves his way in and shoots and can score from nothing.

Certainly a top player at the level, just an off day today.
 
Don't know what to think of that. A result of some of the pathetic comments directed at players and the owner, or someone who's frustrated at one bad decision he made?

He was a midges dick away from scoring a brilliant goal in the first half with some great skill and footwork - he’s been our only reliable attacking outlet so far - sure he’ll come good again soon 👍

Are you sure you know who Bowler is?

You said on another post Patino looked like Thompson... Suppose its hard to tell if you only follow the games on the radio.

Therein lies the problem, he's a midges dick from scoring brilliant goals 5 out of 6 games but he doesn't.
If he did he wouldn't be a Blackpool player and if he was as good as everyone is saying then far better teams than Forest and Bournemouth would be interested in him.

Yeh, Josh is an exciting player but he's no Trevor Sinclair

Well said Josh.
It's good to see that he accepts he could have done better yesterday. IMO decision making has consistently been the weakest part of his game and not slipping the ball in to to Jerry when he'd done all the hard work sums up my personal frustration with him.
So Josh why don't you sign a new 2 year deal (with a buy out clause) and work on your development at Blackpool (along with all the other players we are currently developing) and get yourself an even better move in the future.
 
Josh Bowler, to me, is a bit like the proverbial Curates Egg, meaning, of course, that some parts of him are very very good. but as Insider says it's his decision making that is his undoing. If worked on, and I'm sure those responsible will be doing so, he will be the player we expect to see at every outing.
 
Yep … Fair Play..

It just didn’t work for us or him yesterday, but you get days like that.

The results and performances will come I’m sure 👍
 
Thought it was an excellent save with an outstretched leg that stopped him scoring early doors.
As mentioned earlier in this thread that last pass / decision making is something he needs to work on but overall he is often our only attacking threat.

To be fair.. he's not claiming to be. A very strange comparison.
 
Mark my words if he goes he will be a massive loss...heard some right bollox about him yesterday along the lines of I told you he wasnt that good and we should take what we can get for him...he will be very very difficult to replace for any amount of money we get for him...I really hope he stays
 
In whatever situation, it takes a real man to apologise for his mistakes.
Every footballer has the odd bad game - see Foden's saved shot on goal yesterday, when he had the option of a simple pass to the furious Haaland for an open goal! And Haaland himself made only 2 recorded passes in the entire game.
Put it behind you Josh, you've been brilliant for us & a pleasure to watch.
OH and ....... please sign that new contract 🧡

You really are stupid. Thompson was the last man and I was correct in that. What I got wrong which I've already said was that in that incident I thought it was Thompson that had got up and given chase but it wasn't it was Patino.

Still see you're a faceless keyboard warrior. No surprise. You reaaly are a dickhead. Seems you like to criticise alot of fans from the west stand to those who go in the north. Perhaps you're a nob as well as a nobber.
 
I appreciate the sentiment behind this but I'd prefer if he just made his apology on the pitch by not making the same mistakes in the future. He's a world class dribbler let down by a sub-par final product and at times terrible decision making.

Given Jerry can't even score a pen at the moment, maybe Josh felt he was just as likely to put it in the net. No guarantee a goal would have resulted from a pass. Very harsh to have a pop at our best player
