I tried to upload my photo, but it won’t work. I’m on I Pad, anyone know what I need to do. I’ve tried in the past with the old stadium photo thread but had the same issue. Seems to be the wrong format.I blagged me and four others into the 1st Slade gig I went to there.
One of the roadies let us in as I missed out on the tickets when there were released.
I showed him my Slade tattoos to prove I hadn't just jumped on the bandwagon after the had taken Reading by storm.

Wish I’d seen the 2tone tourThe last band I saw there was the Lancashire Hotpots.
Before that it was the Selecter, Specials, Madness tour 30 years previously.
On my pc, I just copy and paste now having previously had problems and works nearly every time.I tried to upload my photo, but it won’t work. I’m on I Pad, anyone know what I need to do. I’ve tried in the past with the old stadium photo thread but had the same issue. Seems to be the wrong format.
It was £1 I think, have a poster somewhereWish I’d seen the 2tone tour
My brother was at that concert...and he taped it While I saw them on the same tour in Norwich..Dynamite!AC/DC at Lancaster University on 21st October 1977 for £1.50. Just stop whatever you're doing and think about that for a minute.

It was no Winter Gardens, Tower Ballroom or Opera House. We're spoilt in that sense.Yeah, I know I've probably said this before but I remember my first gig at Lancaster Uni was to see 10cc in about 73. Always remember the tickets said 'the Great Hall' and when I entered I couldn't believe how small it actually was.
If you screenshot it, that significantly reduces the file size and allows an upload.I tried to upload my photo, but it won’t work. I’m on I Pad, anyone know what I need to do. I’ve tried in the past with the old stadium photo thread but had the same issue. Seems to be the wrong format.
Easy to forge mind you, as they allowed you out and re entry was with the stampHated it when they stamped the back of your hand and didn't give you a paper ticket.
I remember being amazed at how many Pool fans I recognised at that gig. It seemed like the Fylde had migrated for the evening.Looks like that Stranglers gig is the new Barnet away!
I was at Leeds 81-84 some fine nights there in the Refec building. Cramps, the Clash, Stray Cats, Steel Pulse, Gregory Isaacs, The Bunnymen, Rory Gallagher, Grandmaster Flash, the list goes on....
Was at that oneSaw Siouxsie and the Banshees and Japan at Lancaster Uni. Great days.

We are so spoilt, yet hardly any want to play these venues. It was no Winter Gardens, Tower Ballroom or Opera House. We're spoilt in that sense.
A member of Steel Pulse stole my brother's track suite when they shared a flat. My brother knew as he went to see them live and the bastard was wearing it !!!!Looks like that Stranglers gig is the new Barnet away!

There is another by Barry Lucas from a few years ago. really is a nostalgic read. For those of a certain age and who liked live music, a trip to Lancaster Uni in the 70's and 80's was a regular feature.

Never heard of Hendrix ?Some great memories of Lancy Uni gigs, Bad Company, Clapton, bonkers barmy John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett, Buzzcocks,Stiffs tour,Two Tone tour, Steele Pulse, and loads more, but The Jam were amazing, how just 3 guys could deliver such energy and sound was unbelievable,we were sweating our cojones off! as Bottle mentioned re deafening,my ears were ringing for days after that gig! Great times!
School outingThe only band I saw there was The Clash on a school outing in January 1980.
I was one of them. Saw them at Rick City Nottingham on same tourThere must have been about 20 people max at that Sweet gig
I was on that trip but was only in the 5th form at the time.I was there on a trip from from BGS 6th Form awesome night
I was at the Jam's Setting Sons gig. Got backstage afterwards & still have my Harrington Jacket signed by Weller, Foxton & Buckler.Only saw a handful early eighties, had to wag school to get the bus up. The Jam setting sons tour was by far the best for me. Still had loads of concert t shirts and posters from back then, moved house and went to get them from my Mothers, only to be told "Ive thrown them out" devastated I was.
Yep, I was at that one as wellThe only band I saw there was The Clash on a school outing in January 1980.
Yes mate. I would have been in the 6th form at that time.School outing
I went to that, it was when they were good and it was ** loud too!The Stranglers and U2. Both great gigs but to this day that U2 performance was one of the greatest that I've ever seen
Graham Parker & The Rumour were ** brilliant live, saw them a few times down here in London at that time, the best being a double header at the Rainbow with Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes, one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Seen Southside more than anybody probably, outstanding live.Best gig I saw at Lancaster Uni was Graham Parker & the Rumour circa 1978 or 79
Quality night including some decent action in the car park with a van full of Nobbers.
I was there, bloody incredible, I'd never seen so many tattoos on one man!Saw them on the same tour in a room under the Imperial Hotel with the entrance on Dickson Road.
