Sorry, wrong 2-1 defeat of Liverpool. On that day I was moving my son to uni, couldn't believe the radio commentary in the van driving down the M4.GTF and DJ!!!!! Great night.
As someone who spends 3 hours every friday in Stafford waiting for my daughter whilst she trains with Severn Stars netball club you have my deepest sympathies....One of the more memorable days. I seem to recall our train failing at Stafford on the way home (?? did it??), not that we cared much by then.
I think we just moved across platforms onto another train Shootz. But the memories are a little hazy. I can't think why.As someone who spends 3 hours every friday in Stafford waiting for my daughter whilst she trains with Severn Stars netball club you have my deepest sympathies....
Had the same good experience with Everton fans when we played them in the cup.We went in the same Liverpool pub after the game that we had gone into before the game and their fans could not have been more cordial or complimentary that day What a day
And the ref clearly indicated to hold it until he was in position, a signal ignored by Gerrard to cross the ball.Still have no idea why a free kick was awarded from which they subsequently scored.
GTF, what a player he was for us, oh for him in the team now.The assist for Reg's goal was a thing of beauty.
Yep got a free beer off oneyep, a day never to be forgotten. Not only were we applauded by the Liverpool fans, the Evertonians were coming out onto the streets to applaud us as we were making our way thru Liverpool on the way home.
If GTF had been fit for the West Ham play off match we'd have won and nobody will convince me otherwise. He didn't always get the assist but it was nearly always his pass that opened up defences. He was very under-rated IMO by some.GTF, what a player he was for us, oh for him in the team now.
We’ll I have had a mix of experiences with them over decades at Anfield and else whereHad the same good experience with Everton fans when we played them in the cup.
I was sat in the home section of the Anfield Rd for the 2-1 win courtesy of my very generous cousin
who let me have her season ticket for the game. When the 2nd goal went in I couldn't help but react.
Not a full on celebration but enough for the Liverpool fans all round me to suss out I was a Blackpool fan.
Not a hint of trouble or anamosity and they were really complimentary at the final whistle.
But according to some on here, scousers are the spawn of satan.
As I have said on here many times he is my all time favourite Pool player and that includes the likes of Suddick, Micky Burns, Charlie and any others, he was superb. If GTF had been fit for the West Ham play off match we'd have won and nobody will convince me otherwise. He didn't always get the assist but it was nearly always his pass that opened up defences. He was very under-rated IMO by some.
I agree. Thank goodness for GTF's foot injury. Stopped Oyston another 100 millionIf GTF had been fit for the West Ham play off match we'd have won and nobody will convince me otherwise. I do believe that's called 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'. That's a really silly thing to do.I agree. Thank goodness for GTF's foot injury. Stopped Oyston another 100 million
yeah my way of thinking too. I love BFC more than i hated the Oystons so would have loved us to have had another season and maybe even more in the PL. Anyway it is what it is and all conjecture but thank god we've now got rid of them.I do believe that's called 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'. That's a really silly thing to do.
