Always been the case up here in Jocko. From today in shops and public transport. Tbh I've never stopped, and still wear one when walking around in pubs...although nobody else seems to.
Attempting to look ahead though, do people think football will be affected again, with games played behind closed doors?
Yep and in the UK 's other 'Celtic fringe' countries I believe?Tbh I don't think rules on it should have been changed, cos people will be more reluctant to go back to how thing's were. Like I say though, I've never stopped wearing one, so it won't make a great deal of difference to me. Travel abroad is a different matter though. I think having to take an official PCR test on your arrival home now will impact the travel industry massively. In fact me and my mate had planned to go backpacking from mid December for a few months, but have now put that on hold. We're now hoping to go to Egypt for a month from mid January, but everything is based on any new restrictions, or how this new Covid variant pans out...Always been the case up here in Jocko.
Exactly! To me it's just pure selfishness....people who think it's all 'me, me, me', rather than about society as a whole. It's not about freedom of choice(imo), it's about showing respect for other's who are perhaps more vulnerable than yourself. If you wore a mask last time, got the jabs, and aren't dead or hospitalised, why would you not wear one now that there's a new, more transmissible and possibly more aggressive strain of the virus, at least until we know more about the risks?
Times continue to be difficult particularly in relation to travel. I had to cancel a cruise last year. I've booked a hol abroad for next Oct . Hope your Egypt trip goes ahead ok.Yep and in the UK 's other 'Celtic fringe' countries I believe?Tbh I don't think rules on it should have been changed, cos people will be more reluctant to go back to how thing's were. Yeah, totally the same thing. If anyone had suggested compulsory face masks a few years ago, they would have rightly been laughed at as a mentalist, which goes to show how powerful and sustained the fear & propaganda has been over the past couple of years.Exactly! Getting used to putting a mask on is no different to clicking on a seat belt in a car....and most of us remember the rumpus that caused when it was first made mandatory! . Yet everyone does it without thinking now...
What if, as radical as this sounds, you didn’t wear a mask, didn’t get the jabs and didn’t end up dead or in hospital? If you wore a mask last time, got the jabs, and aren't dead or hospitalised, why would you not wear one now that there's a new, more transmissible and possibly more aggressive strain of the virus, at least until we know more about the risks?
Totally agree, the evidence is weak, most don't wear them correctly, the correct type or the effect that has is negligible.Since we were told they weren’t necessary I haven’t been wearing a mask (except where required in doctors’ surgeries for instance) but now that we’ve been told to I’ll obviously start again.
The reasons I haven’t worn a mask are:
1. Despite what people say they are a pain in the backside, especially if you wear glasses that continually steam up. In fact they are downright dangerous. And please don’t tell me about the various ways you can stop steaming up. I know all about them and they don’t work.
2. If the government thought they were any use they’d have ordered us to continue wearing them. They didn’t and I’m not playing the emotional blackmail game where the government hasn’t got the balls to make them mandatory but instead puts all the onus on the citizen to comply.
3. There’s plenty of evidence around to show that mask wearing has zero or minimal impact on the spread of the virus. And if that’s not correct and they do then the government was grossly negligent when it told us we could stop wearing them. Either they work or they don’t. Which is it?
4. The truth is it’s all theatrics so the government can pretend it’s doing something. I’ll go back to wearing them with the knowledge it’s an utter waste of time.
And I’m not an anti vaxxer. I had my booster yesterday. It’s just that I can recognise BS when I see and smell it.

That would work really well if it were actually called Omricon B
It’s called a sense of humour, clearly left yours in bed this morning. That would work really well if it were actually called Omricon B
I’ve got a sense of humour….It’s just not freaky very funny. It’s called a sense of humour, clearly left yours in bed this morning.
What a boring old fart.I’ve got a sense of humour….It’s just not freaky very funny.
Well not until you realise the thick ** who wrote the joke could even spell Omicron right
Sorry ‘Peter Kay’What a boring old fart.
If you walked down the fast lane of the M1 and didn’t get killed doesn’t mean you would do it on a regular basis. What if, as radical as this sounds, you didn’t wear a mask, didn’t get the jabs and didn’t end up dead or in hospital?
What’s the view then?
Of course that wouldn’t have worked as a joke, whereas ’No Crimbo’ had us all in fits of laughter. It’s actually an anagram of moronic
Agreed, another half-in, half-out policy from the government but the thinking is probably that the vulnerable can avoid pubs and nightclubs but may have to use shops and pubic transport. Not an anti-vaxxer or anti-masker but again the rules make no sense.
Wear one for 2 minutes in a shop but not for 4 hours in a pub? Anyone would think it’s so folk don’t cancel Christmas parties or nights out resulting in a drop in income to the hospitality industry, which was closed the longest during each lockdown, at its busiest time......
Even though there's no BOf course that wouldn’t have worked as a joke, whereas ’No Crimbo’ had us all in fits of laughter.
Of course the rules don't make sense, they will claim they are reducing risk where they can though. Not an anti-vaxxer or anti-masker but again the rules make no sense.

Scara and joke maker slightly redeemed?Even though there's no B
honest these people. If you walked down the fast lane of the M1 and didn’t get killed doesn’t mean you would do it on a regular basis.
Is it ‘actually’ a joke though?Scara and joke maker slightly redeemed?
Classification of Omicron (B.1.1.529): SARS-CoV-2 Variant of Concern
The Technical Advisory Group on SARS-CoV-2 Virus Evolution (TAG-VE) is an independent group of experts that periodically monitors and evaluates the evolution of SARS-CoV-2 and assesses if specific mutations and combinations of mutations alter the behaviour of the virus. Well whatever, I was just curious as it did seem a bit forced. Is it ‘actually’ a joke though?
It’s more of a clever anagram … (barring the mid-spelling and random addition of a B)
I’m mean you couldn’t imagine Billy Connolly trotting that one out at the Albert Hall
I suppose you might if the joke was about a dyslexic anagram writer.
Well whatever, I was just curious as it did seem a bit forced.
However the b is kind of there.
Sick of these hidden messages from the illuminati.
I think its telling they put a b after it. B is a bee, bees fly. Sly sounds similar to fly and so does die.
We're all going to die.
99% recovery rate from this virus for most people.
The fact people are still pretending that this virus is anything close to 'lethal' or ‘very dangerous’ to the vast majority of the population after 20 months is hysterical & borderline embarrassing. You know that a virus that kills 1% of the people that it infects and is as infectious as Covid is a very dangerous disease indeed don't you?
Also, you know that 1% is with hospital treatment, without it that's going to be significantly higher.

Grown men acting like this pffft.Adams Kebab`s posts are ill informed, ignorant , irresponsible and selfish.
However responsible the great majority are, unfortunately there are always a few who think they know better and put everyone else at greater risk. We`re not playing games here this is life and death for a good many as we`ve already seen and there will probably be many more deaths yet especially if people don`t follow the rules set out for the benefit of us all..
What if you didn't wear a seat belt and arrived safely at your destination? What if, as radical as this sounds, you didn’t wear a mask, didn’t get the jabs and didn’t end up dead or in hospital?
What’s the view then?
