Yes I know that. Hence I checked at the time. Appleton is unlikely to go round the TG saying grimmy stripped me to people who don’t know of him. Or if he did maybe the other grimmy heard that and said go on then, maybe that's why it was an unlikely character. The physio was adamant it happened at the TG too, in a jokey way obv.

The players aren't opposed to an opportunity as well.

So basically rather than the non Blackpool supporting taxi driver mate of yours having heard half a tale about a different Grimshaw who we all know asked Appo to strip off…

What actually happened was that the Players decided to re-enact the scene at the training ground, opting to use Grimshaw the player (because he had the same name) as the lead protagonist…. (Said act being completely out of character for the player)

Amazingly enough this ‘re-enactment’ has managed to escape the knowledge of those of us who interact with players and reps from the club and everyone on AVFTT, the Armfield etc.. and is known only by you and your non-supporting Taxi Driver mate.

Stop making stuff up you weirdo !!

He made it clear was the keeper, he doesn't know much about who our players are.

The physio was adamant it happened at the TG.

I only said maybe he said it as well if the same name was mentioned, as you said about hearing the name.

Haven't made anything up you freak.

You’re trying to suggest that some kind of convoluted mimic of the actual event took place, instead of simply accepting the blatantly ** obvious!!!

Like I said it’s plain weird!!

I’m all for debate and a decent argument even, but even I know when to hold my ** hand up and stop stretching the realms of reality!

I only stated what was told and I knew at the time about the Armfield and mentioned it. Can't remmeber the convo word for word but was assured it happened at the TG, players joke.

Remember what happened last time you didn't believe. Expect a visit in booths from our number one keeper.

Come on… Football (especially goalkeeping) requires resilience and mental toughness. If your chosen solution to not being first choice is to ‘take your ball home’ then you’re in the wrong game.

Grimshaw isn’t assured, he gets panicky with the ball at his feet and his lack of composure, under pressure was having an impact on those around him.

He needs to work on those aspects of his game and to inspire confidence in his defence.

That’s a matter of opinion and tbh, it’s definitely not one I share at this moment in time. I think he probably has the attributes to become better though.

I don’t accept the argument that he should be given the shirt, based on age and potential either… whether you’re 15 or 35 the decision should always be based on merit.

As I’ve tried to say over and over, it’s not an argument/debate that’s worth ‘hanging your hat on’ in any case, which is why I find it so ridiculous that people seem to have chosen or as a point of criticism for Appleton…

If / when we bring in an experienced Centre Half and a DM, then we might be able to cope with Grimmy’s lack of experience and help him to calm down under pressure.

I think a lot of what you have described as Grimshaws faults are a matter of opinion, albeit probably an opinion that Appleton shares. But then not everyone shares the opinion that Appleton has a clue what he’s doing either!

Well it is obviously an opinion, yes… I can’t really argue with that. I can point you to examples of course, but I’m not sure the subject really merits that much debate, does it?

As I said, if I were going to make a stand against the manager, then this certainly wouldn’t be the thing I’d hang my hat on…

If anything, the fact that people are focusing so much attention on such a non-issue, really highlights that most simply don’t like Appleton and are scratching around to try and justify themselves !!
