Maybe Appleton?

He may have walked after 2 months, but regardless, did nothing after that, despite being lauded as full of potential...and not much since, but the major point is tactically the games were dull and in some cases just plain awful.
I dont see how this would be flair / attacking appointment. May have had some limited success in the lower divisions, but even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while. I know we wont be getting Klopp, but if signing, ..not a very inspirational one.
So the question must be ...why ?

He also walked away from Blackpool once before , he has the knobbers badge tatooed on his leg and we were a class above L

TBH I'm sick of the will he won't he saga re Rosenior, the we hate Appleton brigade and the we shouldn't employ Duff cause he dances shit mob🤷
Fixtures released next week and we're still no nearer to having a man at the helm.
Whoever comes in needs our backing as Blackpool supporters.

It'd be funny if Rosenior gets the job and does shit, you'd have legions on here saying give him time he'll come good.
Likewise if Appleton gets the job and does well these same people will be saying he's just lucky.

He'd be up against it from the start to try and win over a lot of fans.

Bizarre appointment if it happens.

At least we know that as an ex Knobber he won't be kissing our badge.

Let’s face it, all those who say if Appleton is appointed they won’t renew their season tickets, will do anyway. I’m one who is actually thinking, do I really want a season ticket to watch this Frankenstein lookalike, but I probably will because I’m a life long supporter and will optimistically think we’re going to play great football and get in the playoffs.

Who ever it is….. it’s got to be better than the badge kissing, fist pumping fraud that’s just chucked his ticket in!
We do things probably now and who ever it is, they’ll get my support. If it is Appleton. Then so be it - I thought he did a decent job at Oxford and plays some decent positive football. He’s got about as much charisma as an empty telephone box, but if he plays good attacking football and wins games - then I’m in!

No you could say it about a man who has been touted as a top manager for years and apart from his very short spell at Blackpool and his disastrous spell at Blackburn has languished in the lower leagues.
I agree though this recruitment has been a bloody shambles.

People can have preferences and opinions . What is the point of a chat room if you can't voice them . If it is making you sick ,don't come on and you'll feel much better.
