Mental help needed

It’s unique in the fact people look ok usually with mental health issues therefore it’s bottled up. I’ve found it’s better for people to talk to an absolute stranger in the first instance, this has probably been mentioned earlier in this thread. One thing about AVFTT is there’s a wealth of diverse knowledge on here & I urge anyone who is suffering from stress anxiety or depression (if not all of them) please contact someone, be it myself or others who have offered. Talking about it is the first small step to recovery.

Great post mate, well said. I'm guessing you are in Bush Hill Park ? I was born in Edmonton and went to school in Enfield so know the area well. I'm now in Kent but there are a couple of Pool fans local to you. I'll get you on a BASIL trip once we are back up and running but in the meantime, take strength from the support on here , be strong and get out there and do good things. All the best,
Yeah Bush Hill Park that's me mate. Enfield born and bred. What school did you go to? Thanks for the BASIL offer but when me and my dad go to away games we make our own way there

I get that completely mate. You feel like talking to stranger about it (whatever "it" may be) because you don't want to scare or worry the people you love but sometimes and more importantly, you don't know how to try and tell the people closest to you.

Can we set up a helpline? Beyond my skills, but I’m sure some on here will know. I’d be happy to give my mobile number out if I could help anyone.

Whilst everyone is congratulating themselves is it possible this guy is chortling away to himself as he cracks open another Carlsberg Special Brew

HSS,

I hope you are reading this, if you are please please let us know you are okay, we are all worried about you.

If this has all got to much for you and your overwhelmed we totally understand but please just like a post or message me or anyone to let us know you are safe and okay.

There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, you’ve touched many people being open and honest and there’s a lot of people rooting for you and some great help within this thread and other posters sharing past experiences with mental health and you’ve probably inspired people in a similar position who have previously remained silent to speak out and as a result are taking small steps to a better future for them and their loved ones.

Just please let us know you are okay and if you wish to be left alone then we totally understand that but we are worried about you mate.

No one will be better without you, that's a fact, well done for taking the step to ask for help, it's the toughest of steps. My brother in law took his own life at 37, and we will never get over it, you are loved, and in no way does going away make things better, however much of a burden your own mind makes you believe you are. You are not ! Get help, you've made the first steps, keep making those small steps, no step is too small as long as it is in the right direction. One small step at a time, one day, one hour, whatever it takes, at a time. You got this, and there are more people than you know standing right behind you.
